seem reap II

We really enjoy Siem Reap. the setting is nice and they have a large patio, the service can be hit or miss. the food tends to be fresh and very yummy. we are here often and will for sure be back.
we have ben told that the food could have a lot of MSG, but i am not sure about this. i know it tastes good.

This used to be called Indochine, so I’m not sure why it is called Siem Reap II now. The cuisine is largely the same as before: South-​East Asian specialties or Western cuisine with a twist. This time, I had a steak with a Cambodian inspired sauce because the East Asain cuisine can be better appreciated at other places at a much lower price. My wife had Tom Yam which was OK but not special. My French fries were hand-​cut and crisp excellent and also the steak was fortunately OK, although the waiter never bothered to ask how i wanted it.
The service was however terrible: the waiter hardly understood any English and came with a wrong drink and later with a wrong plate (I noticed the same happened at another table). Even the waiter that came to help him had absolutely no idea of what drinks were on the menu.
Of course, nothing beats the setting.
