This café is seriously out of the way for me! But during one rare occasion I was visiting a friend in the east, we came to try it out. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon, with 2 – 3 groups waiting for a table in front of us. The crew looks flustered and not very good at handling customers’ inquiries about waiting time etc. I guess they are still young and pretty new to this yet. My glass of iced mocha latte was so-so. Too heavy on the choc flavour, can’t really taste the coffee. They have a pretty comprehensive menu ie breakfast set, sweet + savoury pancakes, burgers and the list goes on… I ordered the Porky Egg waffle. The pulled pork was well marinated, scrambled egg was well-executed.

The honey lychee«v power» drink is great. The smoked salmon waffle needs more… More salmon. 3 small pieces totaling the area of a credit card. Hoped for more. But its a chill spot for a drink. Just don’t expect too much from the waffles.

Nice deco and food choices is quite limited. Free wifi. I recommend the pulled pork burger. Coffee is normal I prefer Starbucks in my opinion. Choose your seat carefully as the air con is full blast. Super cold in some areas.

Recently opened last quarter of 2014. Another option for those in the east. I detoured there for my «teatime» before doing my second errand earlier today. Situated on the quieter side of the stretch of neighborhood shops. I like that it occupies the ‘L-shaped’ corner, which gives it the advantage of views from one side facing the shops, and the other facing the open car park and the newly developed condominium. It has a modern industrial look. Naked bulbs with warm lighting hanging from the sides of the ceiling. These give it a cosy feeling. Petrol tanks are lined against some parts of wall and side panels. Wooden crates used as seats at one corner of the café. They have a small merchandise section. The young lady who took my order was friendly and helpful with my questions before I left. The one who served my order up seemed indifferent. It is not just the gasoline station theme that amused me, it seems that it is the whole concept for the café — an image of liquid drop(tear drop shaped) used as brand icon. Some interesting names as items offered on the menu: Full Tank, Fill Me Up and Refuel Pancakes. I had a cappuccino, which was quiet a strong brew for me. The Black & White Chocolate Tart… is something someone who badly needs to satisfy serious chocolate craving should have. Generous layer of dark chocolate ganache on top of a layer of white chocolate ganache on(chocolate cookie??) crumbs base. There is a choice of a scoop of chocolate or vanilla ice-cream. Mine will always be vanilla. I was pretty happy with the pitcher of ice cold lemon infused water provided. I will make mine latte for my next stop here :)
