Ok this is a nice café, with a pretty good looking selection of pastries, cakes, and sandwiches. But definitely not at 5 star level. Here’s what can be improved. Seating is ultra tight. It is simply impossible to move in and out between tables when it’s full, especially near the entrance area. A poor attempt at squeezing in too many tables and chairs to maximize the limited space. A full house makes this place uncomfortable. It will also help to turn down the music, which at times is so loud it is challenging to hold a conversation. As for pricing, anything here is as expensive as in any other upscale café, $ 6.00 for a latte is not unusual but certainly not cheap either. Tea for $ 9.00 is also far from a steal. The pastries look fantastic, but taste average, and cakes are a tad dry. All in all a nice place to try if you haven’t been here before, but I won’t be found among regulars.

When I first knew about this café, I thought it was French until I looked at the back of the receipt and wondered why is it in Korean? Just like many others, we were deceived by the name! Guess the owner of this care is a big fan of Paris, you have to goggle it out to find how this café come about. They serve affordable cakes and different types of bread which which is perfect for tea time. Accompanied with choices of juices, milkshakes, tea and coffee, it’s a perfect place to enjoy tea time with your friends, colleagues or even by yourself, tweeting or waiting for someone. Its a self service café, that means you have queue up to order your food, but some drinks and food may be served to you. Be tempted with the amount of food on display at the café. However, I tried some of the cakes, its average — nothing to shout about. As a frequent Jem regular, I am delighted when this place was opened, I don’t have to travel to town to enjoy this and instead enjoying it during my break time. So if you haven’t been here, give it a try! Do come during working hours, it’s usually less crowded than other times.
