One of the 24 hours eateries chocies at Changi Airport Terminal 2 is this café. At first we planned to dine at Swensen’s which just next door but the queue was super long although it was almost midnight. So we moved to here. It was packed but we managed to find a table. Actually there were quite a number of unoccupied tables but with unclear cutlery on them. So have to clear our table ourselves. Seem that most of the staffs were busy changing shift even for the cashier, which was why there a long queue. Items are limited as quite a number were not available. Maybe too busy to restock them. Here it was self service style where one needs to collect the items from the counter. Sometimes pagar will be given which will light up when food is ready. Seafood Cobb Salad($ 9) Tuna, bean, cheese cobb salad There was a bit wasabi like taste the salad dressing. Seafood Chowder($ 6) Very delicious creamy seafood soup in soft and crispy bread. I had asked the staff at the counter to warm up the dish, but somehow it still got cold easily. Maybe the air-con in the airport was super cold. The soup was very rich and creamy although it was slightly too salty. Need the bread to balance the taste. Pork Cutlet Burger Sandwich($ 6) Homemade style sauce, pork cutlet sandwich Asked the staff at the counter to warm it, but felt that it was still cold. I must be too hungry as the cold sandwich actually tasted not bad to me. Hot Grapefruit Tea($ 10) It turned up to be warmed up grapefruit juice served in a teapot. It was quite sour which shook us awake, but it was the only thing which kept us warm in the cold place. Overall food was not bad. I wished that more efforts could be used in clearing the tables. The unclear tables looked so unpleasant.

This café is located right outside the arrival area. They have a large selection of bakery, from savory ones to sweet ones. I tried their chocolate croissant and it is very delicious. All their baked goods are kept warm. In fact, if you request for a take-away, they would even wrap it up in a foil packaging. The same goes for their cold items like their well-known pudding. They will wrap it up in a cold-protect padded packaging. They also have made to order sandwiches if you have sometime to hang around. The sitting area is pretty small but it doesn’t seem to fill up all the time. A great place to grab a bite before heading out of the airport!

The PB brand appeals to me as a somewhat premium coffee shop where you can get sandwiches and coffee. I have seen it in many Asian cities such as Beijing and Shanghai — I always patronize the shop late in the evening to take away some crisp and yummy bread for breakfast the next day. I have been to T2 too many times and can already recall the food shops there. Other than Paris Baguette café, you can opt for coffee at McCafe. or at a coffee joint which sell local fare(meesiam, noodles) beside Gong Cha, and Gong cha itself. These are all located in the basement. On first level, there is Starbucks, Coffee Bean and Krispy Kreme. Living in the US before, I cannot comprehend paying a premium for sugar-glazed donuts that can be found in every petrol station. A coffee and a couple of donuts is going to cost you quite a bit. Oh and there’s ice cream place Swensens too! PB has pretty good sandwiches. and i remember the milk pudding that comes in a cute little bottle fondly. The quality of the pastries is always there regardless of the branch of PB you go to. Hence I swear by this café when it comes to getting a good snack before jumping on board your budget flight.

Newly opened Paris Baguette Café. Cant ever go wrong with the royal milk pudding from here! Small seating area around the café, but good enough for those waiting at the arrival hall. I think this place used to be Ya Kun? Food here is not much pricier than the rest of the selection at the Airport, but definitely looks much tastier!
