Paradigm Infinitum

When this place first reopened in its new location, just up the escalators from the One North MRT, I caught it open on two occasions. Both times, the staff members were very friendly, inviting, and had good discussions with customers. However, since that first week, I have never actually seen this place open again (about one month now). The door has hours posted as M-​F 12pm — 8pm, which is definitely false. Every time I’ve walked by, the lights have been off and the gate is down. I’m thinking this is not actually going to remain a shop in this location and perhaps they are waiting until their next lease runs up to move out.

With a bad-​ass name like that, you know instantly it’s created by a legion of gaming geeks who want to reach out to people who know the FORCE.
I felt out slightly out-​of-​place initially, when I stepped into the store wanting to buy card games for my colleague’s birthday. But the guys there were very friendly and had in-​depth knowledge of EVERYTHING in store. My requirements were simple: A card-​game for girls, simple to learn and maybe can be played in small groups of 3 to 4. Best that it be laugh-​out-​loud lame.
The guys walked around and drew a few games from the shelves and painted a full picture for me — from its instructions to possible outcomes, without the boring technical details. I felt like I was HARRY POTTER in Ollivanders Wand Shop selecting the wand that would choose me.
When I paid up, they told me I could come back anytime if I had problems with the games. I really felt like the Chosen One.
