My favorite Hokkien Mee in Singapore by far. I think Nam Sing is one of the rare breed that cooks Hokkien Mee in a drier way. There isn’t so much soup to the dish and the noodles had a slight crisp texture to it. Another thing worthy to take a note of is how egg-y the plate is. I have no idea how he does it but it was quite an amazing taste. Do remember to CALLTHISPLACEBEFOREYOUCOME!!! The uncle closes the stall as he wishes to without warning and I have been left disappointed way too many times. The phone number is 64405340 and if there is no one who answer the phone, don’t bother coming. Also ask if there are still plenty of plates left because I had an experience when I called, reached there 15 minutes later, only to be told that they’ve been sold out for the day.

This is my favorite hokkien mee! I love the thin bee hoon and even don’t mind the cut chilli instead of sambal! I’ve always taken away, so the noodles really absorb all the delicious stock! If you like your hokkien mee wet, this won’t be your thing. Only thing is the slight inconsistency in portion sizes. At times, the $ 5 medium packet is huge, at times it leaves me hungry. I’m also one of those annoying people who call first and order loads of packets. It’s the way to go!

This food stall is busy! They get more phone calls for pick-up orders than phone calls that are being made by telemarketers. As such, expect a little bit of a wait as there is only one guy in the back working tirelessly on a massive wok to make some good and inexpensive food. It really was worth the wait. Really good wok stir-fried noodles. The accompanying condiments of fish sauce, chilies, and lime also went well really with the noodles and seafood.

I love fried hokkien mee. This and Bak Chor Mee is what I miss while I am living overseas. Love the sweetness of the seafood broth, and I kind of like it better when there is more bee hoon than yellow noodles. So Nam Sing hits the spot for me as it is served with less yellow noodles… and wet! Sometimes, I only wish that it comes with the normal hokkien mee chilli instead of chopped chilli. But it is not a biggie. hits the spot anyway. Come for lunch! I believe they close by late afternoon.
