Singaporeans love their gadgets and while most of us cannot afford new gadgets all the time, we can certainly afford to keep accessorizing the gadgets that we do have. This is where Singaporeans can sometimes get emotional, emotionless lot that we are, if news reports are to be believed(The Straits Times. December 20, 2012. «Singaporeans not only emotionless but unhappy as well»). There is a strange staunchness of will and wealth of opinion regarding who can best accessorize our precious phones, tablets or laptops. Disrespect someone’s sincere recommendation of their go to place for accessories when they see you cradling your new iPad mini and you could be in a for a surprisingly rough ride. So at the risk of raising some hackles, I’m going to come out in support of my go to place for accessorizing anything from an iPhone to a Macbook Pro, Million Mobile at Sim Lim Square. It’s actually unpatriotic and un-Singaporean to apply your own screen protectors. Plus, there’s always a single dust mote that manages to settle between the screen and the protector resulting in Ugly Bubble Phone Face syndrome. So being a good Singaporean and not wanting to undermine the peace, justice or equality of our nation, I get all my equipment screened at Million Mobile. While that nice Chinese xiao jie is applying a new anti-fringerprint, privacy, glow-in-the-dark screen protector, you can browse Million for accessories; keyboards, cases, cables, adaptors or bling, it’s all here. If you can’t find what you need, you’re in Sim Lim Square after all??! They stopped carrying Power Support screen protectors from Japan(my favorite screen protection product) for a time. So if you’re a big fan of Power Support fan like me, then this might be a reason to NOT pay Million Mobile a visit. Finally, if you don’t like leaving a shop and wondering how you ended up so much stuff that you don’t need, but felt compelled to buy anyway, then that would be another good reason to avoid Million Mobile. Me? I’m beyond redemption in that department anyway, so yes, I will continue to slavishly buy more accessories than I know I need from Million. Thanks a Million, Million!
