Did you know that King George’s Ave behind Jalan Besar Stadium is THE place to go to if you’re looking for tarpaulin? I didn’t. I never need tarp, ever, until I ran an event recently and needed DIY rain cover.
Of all the shops along this stretch that I went to, including some of the more famous ones with very similar names, I like this store the best. I don’t just like it, I love it.
Mr Tan who is the boss here was super helpful and awesome, compared to the rude and indifferent bosses and staff at the other stores next door. His staff, every single one of them, was helpful, friendly and awesome too.
I needed to something quite large and impossible — the other stores said they needed several days — they didn’t even bat an eyelid here and they helped me out. Their prices are also very reasonable. Just tell them what you need it for and they’ll help you find the best canvas, tarp or other supplies, they won’t rip you off. It’s that kind of place. Now I want to find another excuse to buy tarpaulin again.
