We came here last week for breakfast and visited a stall to try their«soft boiled eggs and toast»(Set A) and(Set E). The photo they had up on their stall did not correspond to what they actually give you. The photo shows the soft boiled eggs on a plate(like in many places), but we actually received two brown eggs in their shell. We were a bit confused, but took the tray with the toast and the brown eggs. We then realized that we forgot to take the two small saucers that came with the eggs.(We were wondering what they were for and returned them to staff.) When we sat down, we realized that the saucers were for the eggs(after we crack them open). So we returned to the counter to ask for the saucers back and that’s when we had a problem. Due to communication problem they refused to give us the saucers.(I don’t know why because it was a simple request.) In any case, they took my two brown eggs and proceeded to do «another» soft boiled eggs and that it would take«five minutes» to do … with one woman staff saying«That’s an extra $ 3 …» or something like that. I have no idea what she was complaining about. We just wanted the saucers — and we already paid for Set A – and we already had the brown eggs in their shell. Asking for another $ 3 is – wrong. After a few minutes, we finally received two saucers — and a new set of two brown eggs in their shell –(don’t ask me why they decided to take our eggs and re-do them again). I didn’t enjoy my breakfast after that strange encounter. The soft boiled eggs wasn’t up to par so it was a wasted effort. (Yes, it was a frustrating experience especially when staff didn’t understand a simple request. Staff made it so complicated. This happens when people don’t take the time to listen because they just want to move you along …). No, I don’t recommend the stall serving the«tea and toast». The beautiful pictures does not mean that’s what you are going to get. And don’t ask them any requests, they won’t understand. (Sorry, but that was our experience and it was enough.)
