Really laid back Korean pub serving your standard fare soju for $ 14 a bottle, maggeoli(sweet cloudy white rice wine — delicious) served out of a a quaint wooden bowl with scooper for around $ 27. The food here is pretty average but really reasonably priced. Recently came with a couple of friends and had 3 bottles of soju and a variety of munchies like kim chi stew, beef soup, and kim chi pancake. Our bill came out to a shockingly low $ 77. Drop by when you’re in the neighborhood.

Located in Tanjong Pagar Plaza next to a bunch of local restaurants and coffee shops, Koko Rooloo serves up reasonably priced Korean food. The restaurant is nothing special, a place to get a quick fix on food and get out of there. I ordered the U-Dong noodles($ 8) for takeaway and was pretty happy. These are vegetarian noodles with egg strips, seaweed and skewered tofu, although a small-small-ish portion for the $ 8. Check it out for something different.

Who would have thought KoKo RooLoo is a Korean Restaurant? To add, the store front is brightly decorated and I walked passed a few time thinking it is a dessert shop. KoKo RooLoo is opened by a Korean and the food sold are very authentic. Entering the store, you will find around 6 – 74-seats table squeezed in a small area. Ordering food from menu may be hard for someone who are not familiar with Korean dishes. The first time I ordered, the english names are all translation of the korean pronunciation making you not able to make out what the food really is. I can only see from the pictures on the menu. Most of the dishes are seldom seen selling in Korean stall in foodcourt and is a totally new experience to me and my tongue. In the night, the store become a place where people enjoy Soju(Rice wine) with Kimchi, pork meat. It open all the way to 12am. Quite unusual for a restaurant.
