Kenko Reflexology & Fish Spa – Vivocity

I selected the package 1: for 30 minutes of Fish Spa and 20 minutes of Shoulder Massage. The price was decent and I did not have to wait too long.
The massage therapist was very friendly and asked me very interesting questions, due to my tensed shoulders. I have always had very stiff muscles, especially on my shoulders and lower back. The therapist asked if I slept very late at night and wake up very early in the morning, of which, I replied that I do sleep quite late and occasionally get up early in the morning for classes. He said that he could tell by the tight muscles on my shoulders and arms. He could also tell that I get roughly 5 – 6 hours of sleep each night and that I tend to carry heavy things (my purse or backpack) majority on the left shoulder. He also said something interesting about the fact that I get ticklish, that I would be afraid of my husband. I do not think I’m at all afraid of my husband, but I do want to keep him happy and the same for him towards me.
He pressed pretty hard on my pressure points, which were quite painful at times, but I know it’s best to do so, since I had really stiff shoulders and plenty of knots as well. I’m pretty sure I will be sleeping quite well tonight, since a good shoulder massage tends to relax me even more before bed.
After the shoulder massage, then came the 30 minutes of Fish Spa. This was my first time experiencing small fishes eating the dead skin cells on my feet and legs/​calves. They had two fish spa area and I tried the one on the left first. The fishes in this one were a bit larger than the ones in the right spa area. My first experience was a very ticklish and tingly feeling, I felt that way for at least 5 minutes until I became more used to it. Then I tried the fish spa on the right side, because my massage therapist suggested that I try it, since the fish on the right side are much more active in eating the dead skin cells. He was right the fishes on the right side were much more active. The water on the right side is a bit warmer too and the fishes were much smaller. I guess the smaller they are the more hungry they are as well. Since more fishes are eating off of your feet, it does not feel as ticklish. It’s much more consistent with the nibbling and it feels like little needles poking you, all at the same time. It was quite relaxing on this side of the spa. But eventually I moved back to the left side because my husband and I suggest that a new couple try the right side spa, since the fish on the left side did not seem to be nibbling on them that much.
It was a pretty nice experience. I would definitely come back to this place if I have the chance.

Very strange, but a unique and cool experience. The little fish that clean your feet love dead skin, and my feet felt smoother after, but I must need a bunch more treatments because they were still rough in spots. It felt super weird and ticklish for the first five minutes, but then I got used to it and it was relaxing.
