I just moved apartments, so let’s just say I need a lot of hardware items from various nuts and bolts, to measuring tape, to wall hanging tape. Let’s just say, this is no Home Depot, so I’m not even going to make that comparison. If I did, this would easily be a one star review. However, relative to the DIY shops on the red dot, this is pretty good. I’ve been to a couple and they are just plain bad! Imagine a DIY shop that doesn’t sell an electric extension chord, what!!! Nevertheless, this DIY is in a centralized location, strategically situated in Marina Square. It’s easy to go to during one of your free breaks at work. The space is quite large and sells the essentials. The one drawback is if you are looking for a specific screw or bolt, you can’t try it out to see if it works. The screws and/or bolts are wrapped in plastic. The only way to know if a screw fits is to eyeball it! Yep, we’re not an America. I imagine this is the same case with all DIY shops throughout the Red Dot. Nevertheless, this is DIY is as good as they come. Attendants are generally helpful in pinpointing where items are located throughout the store. However, I wouldn’t consider them experts in the various products they are selling. Overall, a pretty damn good DIY shop.
