This is possibly the only LAN shop I bother getting a membership to(and i’m not even a hard core gamer). What’s cool about this place is that its not one of those sleazy and dirty LAN shops wit rubbish computers and what not. The interior is actually quite nice and spacious. Their concept is more of a bar/game café where you can actually order your alcoholic beverages from the bar and have them sent to your seat while you kill zombies. Pretty cool if you ask me. Member rates are obviously better and for 10 bucks a year for membership, I think its pretty alright.

There are plenty of LAN gaming outlets around but I’ve yet to see one like H.I.G.H. Located just across Roxy Square in Marine Parade, H.I.G.H doesn’t appear to be your typical LAN gaming joint, but more of a high end club. Once you enter and go up the stairs, you’re greeted with rows and rows of the top-end gaming computers. They even have a special VIP room that you can book to enjoy a game of L4D or CS with your friends. The best part about H.I.G.H is that you can not only play games, but have snacks and drinks at the same time. The computers and variety of the games together with the efficient service and problem free network more than makes up for the fact that it is rather pricey for a LAN shop. But hey, what you pay for is what you get and H.I.G.H doesn’t stinge on the equipment so I say it’s a fairly good deal!
