Gurkha Palace Stall

This is a review of a solo carryout lunch from the Gurkha Palace stall at the Lan Kwai Fong Food Mall in the basement of the Signature Building.
This is a Nepali stall. The stall was clean and neat.
I admit it. I was in a hurry and selected this stall because it had the shortest queue. I now know why.
The staff was friendly and professional. The food was provided quickly. My meal was relatively neatly packed into a Styrofoam container.
Chicken Sekuwa Set — i ordered the chicken sekuwa set. Chicken sekuwa is a Nepali style BBQ. The set came with chicken, two sides, soup, and naan, For the sides, I selected cauliflower and potato tarkari and chickpeas.
Unfortunately, the food was simply not very good. The chicken was not warm. It was dry and a bit bland. Pretty much all of the food was the same. The naan was rubbery. The portion was generous. However, from a taste standpoint, it was simply not a very enjoyable meal. For my lunch, I prefer something that is not cold and bland.
The cost was just a tad over $ 7.
Overall — The friendly staff and fast food prep simply can not make up for the poor quality of the food. If the review was based solely on the food, this would be a one star review.
