Although I have the Watsons member card, I still go to Guardian once in a while because they carry items that Watsons don’t, like chewable pipa gao candy (did you know that it even exist???) which is really good for the throat. However, the recent promotions seem a little copy-​cat, like offering members’ only specials, having members’ day and so on. I think they’ve got better offers than just that and should shift the focus lest their publicity seem to strikingly familiar as their other strong competitor. The in-​house brand products are also quite reliable. I like their first-​aid supplies.

This Pharmacy and convenient store is Watsons’ biggest competitor — but I do feel both provide better prices for different products. For toiletries, I usually go to Watsons, but for Sunblock and Shampoo /​Conditioner, Guardian gives better prices. Best thing to do is walk through both stores and compare — you’ll find that you’d get great sales in both.
What I love: The store is stocked with all our major travel and daily essentials and they are generally well-​priced. Candy and chocolates are pretty reasonable here.
What I Don’t Love: Store isn’t too big — Watsons in this mall is wayyyy bigger. But despite that, I have found pretty good sales here.
