Rude server and food well wondering now…
Shame as the setting is nice although music is probably a tad too loud.
It started on the mediocre side when we asked for a Virgin Mojito which is not on the menu, but Mojito is on the menu as one of their key item, so as you can imagine extremely difficult to execute, simply don’t pour the alcohol. Well … not possible at Georges for some reason.
Then they have 3 ciders on the menu, one of those is pear cider, I was asking whether the other 2 apple ciders were sweet or dry, the answer was this is apple so it is sweet ;-) Obviously good training here or simply lack of it. I ended up with an average cider at $ 15 a 500ml bottle.
Then the «plat de resistance», when we ordered the food and among it a Beef Burger for which we were not asked for our cooking preference, weird, so we stated it: «please Medium Rare» and we were told that those burgers come only in «Well Done» which made me wonder whether Georges is pre-​cooking the meat or whether it is even cooked on premises at all. Then of course it open a can of worms as what about the rest of the menu?
But to add to our misery when the waiter responded, his answer was extremely dry along the line of «if you don’t like it order something else» not even looking at us in the eyes.
I must admit that it was too much, we decided to leave and told the waiter immediately.
But cherry on the cake, even so the food was not even finished ordering as the waiter was still standing in front of us, he told me that he might charge me for the food if he didn’t manage to cancel through his electronic device, I took it as a joke, not a funny one though.
I paid the unfinished drinks and we left the premises to never come back again.
My advice, plan for drinks definitely not for food…
