Oh my gosh the CUTEST place ever in the middle of nowhere. These people kind of expect you to take a billion photos so they have props all over your table to use(stethoscopes, little paper crowns etc.) + Free Wifi!(FFL_Guest, PW: freshfruitslab) + Complimentary test tube of FRUITJUICE per person + All the drinks are laboratory equipment themed. Your juice comes in flasks, water in beakers. + Bathroom is outside around the corner — not the cleanest or brightest.) + Afternoon Tea: 3pm-5pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays only + Lunch Specials: 11−2pm Weekdays(pretty good deal) I came here on a Friday afternoon and honestly absolutely loved this place. It has great tasting food, juice and cakes. I ordered the lunch special — 12 sgd for a quinoa greek salad and some chicken main dish. Super tasty and worth the price yum. The Lychee cake that everyone seems to get here — eh, I could have done with out it. I didn’t find it super special. It was just. alright. Service: –1 star for the service. I suppose they employee young high school aged girls but they spent too much time looking at their phones rather than if people needed anything. Seriously was so difficult to get their attention away from their phones. Hello people.

After the good experience we had the week before, we decided to come back here to try their burgers. Da bomb burger would win an instagram competition for burgers if there was one! So I had to try it! 1. Da Bomb Burger $ 19+ For a 250g of beef patty, this sure is a huge burger, to finish this off as one person, you must be starving to death! The egg was running and it presented very nicely on an IKEA chopping board, the fries however were very salty. Both burgers came with super salty fries, my suggestion if you don’t want to get bloated from drinking water from the beakers, is tell them LESSSALT on the fries. 2. The Club Burger $ 19+ The chicken was very juicy and succulent, it was very marinated and grilled. I enjoyed it as much as I had enjoyed the Da Bomb. Both are good choices for burgers here! The side salad had watermelon cubes in there, though they were not sweet, it was a refreshing change from the normal cucumbers. Both da bomb and the club seen side by side, they look normal sized, but in person, they’re pretty huge. For the price, I find it reasonable. 3. Red Velvet Cake 6.50+ At 4pm on a saturday, this was already the last slice of red velvet cake, this goes to show how popular this cake is! It was moist and the cream cheese was slightly salty, the sweetness of the cream cheese was just alright, not too overpowering. But you could feel gerlat eating this cake all by yourself. So share the calories! 4. Meatballs $ 10+ $ 10+ for 6 meatballs, pretty pricey if you ask me, but the cheese was well baked over the meatballs. The meatballs were most probably deep fried before getting baked, as the exterior were really crispy! The marinara sauce for the meatball was perfect, pretty sure you could eat fries with this sauce too, it wasn’t too salty. Water is served here in beakers :) an interesting touch for a «Lab» For each customer, you get one test tube of complimentary fruit juice, all the juices tasted weird and we couldn’t tell what colour was what juice, even after tasting. Mostly because all were too diluted?

3rd stop for food hunt day — 17th Jan 2015. Was pretty crowded when we reached this place nearer to 4pm. Was given an outdoor seat as it was packed on the inside and we had to switch seat as the scorching sun pointed directly at where we were seating. The main dishes looks good on the social media so the five of us shared the Da Bomb and The Club burgers as well as meatballs for the side dish. Depending on what you get, the prices are definitely on the steep side. For the burgers, they are juicy and tasty(all the ingredients mixed with the buns). There were sides of fries on the wooden board(serving plate) and the fries were too salty. Had only three pieces of that and I am still feeling dryness on the throat and thirstiness even a day later. The meatballs were cooked rightly. It was not too much and the tomato based as well as the layer of cheese on its top was a good combination for moisting the beef balls. No picture on it as it wasn’t a photo friendly dish. I also tried the Tokio tea. According to the menu, it is one of the lab’s recommended beverage and looking at the fruity description, I ordered this to try it out. For the price, it was a little on the pricier end but I would probably go for a cold beverage if I visit this place a second time. We also tried the Red Velvet cake. It was pretty moist and would recommend it to others. Towards the end of the meals, we were given juices to sample in test-tubes. Not sure what tastes they were but I got the orange flavored one. Oh yes, and the iced water came in conical flasks or beakers(glad that I finally remembered the name for the flask). The interior design was unique as it was science related. There are also interesting facts about fruits and its benefits on one of the walls. Quite a nice place to wind down the week if there are less crowds.
