I’ve been an avid darts player since my university days in England. But here in Singapore, it is almost impossible to find a good place to play the game. Dart machines here tend to be stuck in a dingy corner in a noisy pub as an afterthought. Fortunately, last November, Flair came onto the scene. A haven for darts aficionados, Flair is first a darts locale then a bar bistro. It is equipped with a whopping 7(!) interactive electronic soft tip dart machines from Korea, all lined up in a dedicated darting area. Spacious and cozy, Flair is not just for darters. They serve excellent food fare from burgers to pastas rather than your usual deep-fried, frozen and processed bar grub. It is no wonder that they are also popular with the Shenton Way lunch crowd. For me, Flair is a perfect place for an afternoon quickie(darts people darts) or a night out. Good food, live music, live sports telecast and most important, a simple game everyone can participate in. And to top it off, you get to chug one of my favourite beers, Kronenbourg 1664 from a mini Eiffel Tower.
