Me and hawker centre salad have our differences.
It’s a bit challenging to find affordable salad in Katong/​Marine Parade. I took my chances by trying the chicken Caesar at Char-​Grill Bar’s stall. For $ 6.50 at a hawker, I figured it was a fair price.
The chicken itself was very good. It was juicy and had good flavour; however, it was freshly grilled and served warm so it messed with the temperature of the salad.
The salad was washed but not drained enough, so I ended up with watery salad dressing and soggy croutons. Diced ham was thrown in, but it didn’t help the cause.
I think I’ll just stick with the fried items or try another stall next time!
