Buddy Hoagies Café & Grill

Tried the food here and was abhorred by the standard. It is commercial food — but seriously, the food could be served better. Quality was so substandard, I was shocked. The location and place is fine — and when we got there, service was pretty okay. Average, really.
What I Love: They have pretty okay options — that’s it.
What I Don’t Love: The taste, standard and service quality needs to be seriously looked into. We ordered a Rosti, with some sauteed vegetables and fries. The Rosti was worse than average — I couldn’t even put it in my mouth. The veggies were at least edible. The fries were okay — but the ketchup that was served was one of those industrial quality sauces — that are really quite horrible. It taste like fake tomato sauce. I wanted to order a non-​carbonated drink, but their fresh fruit juice options were nonexistent. The service was average — but I had to keep asking for basic things like, «Can I have some utensils, please?» and «Can I have some tartar sauce, please?» I just feel that for these basic things — there has to be some initiative. Never going back there again — ever.

If you’re heading to a steak and grill place like Buddy Hoagies, stick to the meats and other grilled items. Thats where their strength lies.
I had the honey BBQ ribs while my gf had the Rib Eye. A friend ordered the carbonara pasta and no surprises who left dinner more satisfied. I particularly enjoyed the ribs. There was enough meat to peel off the bone and the sauce went really well with the meat. The steak was also tender and tasty. Good stuff.
