This place is about as good as it gets. Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had. My family calls the restaurant «hot pork noodle» and I had no idea what it was called until recently.
Usually when we go, we order the hot pork noodle, perogies, onion crêpe, the tea, and I get a red bean bun for dessert. All of the food is delicious and it is one of the few places I will go to and eat meat (I’m a vegetarian). I live in Toronto and often miss it, and it’s one of the first places I go visit when I return to Winnipeg to visit the rest of my family.
Very much a hole in the wall but the food is some of the best I’ve had anywhere.

Been coming here for over 30 years. Comfort food best decribes this so called «Hole in the Wall». I have never found Har Gow anywhere in North America that can compare to New Hong Kong’s Shrimp Kou. I even tried several restaurants in San Francisco who is known to have the biggest Chinatown in North America! Now living in the US, I defiitely make it a point to have their food shipped to me when Family and friends are visiting me, and when I’m visiting Winnipeg… Ask the owner Robert, I’m there evrey single day of my stay… it’s that good!!!
Oh, and their hot pork noodle soup… try getting it dry, it’s sooo gooood!
