If you went to the University of Windsor, Skippy’s is an institution. A post-night of drinking oasis. I seem to recall going here the morning after prom. Me and my friends still in our tuxedos. That’s the way to do it, boys.

Good food, good service. Ate there twice on our way to and from Chicago and Toronto. I especially liked the corned-beef hash. A little different than what I’m familiar with at home

Great little diner on University Ave. Skippy’s is that small diner next to Shin Shin on University Ave. The place is pretty small and has the old fashioned diner look to it. Couple of tables scattered around and a big olé countertop. The service was real friendly and the menu is pretty large. Thye serve breakfast up all day so it’s a good place to go for those who enjoy having pancakes for dinner and what not. I got the Skippy’s Breakfast which was 3 eggs, 3 sausage links, 2 slices of ham, a slice of peameal bacon, home fries, and toast. That’s a lot of food for $ 8.99! Everything was pretty solid. The eggs were great(sunny side up). the ham was grilled to perfection and had a bit of a nice char to it, without being overpowering. The peameal bacon was too salty for me. Didn’t even finish it. The sausage links were good but can get sickening after too many. The home fries were good. Chunks of potatoes that were flash cooked on a griddle. Toast is toast… what can I really say? Overall, it’s a good place to grab your breakfast. The diner is pretty small and they sell some solid food here. They serve breakfast all day as well as other things like burgers, sandwiches, and other wraps. Well worth a visit.
