Not too happy at all for $ 11.50 we got 1 egg roll each & shrimp fried rice, so small not nearly enough for left overs doesn’t come with a Pop, u can go to rose garden on Wyandotte St w and for $ 9.95 they give you a huge take out box, egg roll and a pop and it’s so much food you have left overs every time! And the taste of the rice is outstanding, we live in the east and won’t be getting pomegranate again, we would rather take the 15 min trip downtown to get the best Chinese food. We spent $ 23 tonight and I regret it :(

Only been here once. The food was ok. Each dish was about $ 9 and the portions were decent. Can’t really say anything bad about the place.

Not good food. Yes its been around a few generations and yes the server Meagan is gorgeous. She is also very nice as are the other staff. But the food is not good. BBQ pork = grisly fat Chicken Ball = batter ball with maybe the tinniest bit of chicken. maybe WonTon = pasta with the tinniest weeniest bit of mincemeat. Almost unmeasurable. No flavor. Limp vegetables, Sugar sauces definable only by color. Red that’s sweet and sour, yellow, that’s lemon … its all the same sugar syrup. What is up with the uncle bens converted rice? Not at all Chinese. No egg no veg … uncle bens. When you see who eats there is becomes evident what this place is about. Big fat older couples and single old guys who love their uncle bens with sugar sauces and they love to look at Megan. Sorry but a pretty girl is not enough to have me pay for the slop they call food. I don’t enjoy saying this because the do seem like nice people and the place is clean and presentable. But the quality of food is just horrible. If I was 300 lbs and jonesing for a shot of carb laden sugar insulin maybe I’d like it here. Which would explain why they are so excited to see a pretty girl.

Great riverside restaurant. It is a family run business with at least 3 generations involved. Food is very good and consistent. Megan waits on us most of the time. She is beautiful and can run the whole dining room and make it look like a piece of cake. Lots of regulars frequent this restaurant and that is testimonial in itself to how good the Chinese food really is.

We decided to try the Pomegranate after hearing about it from so many. Yes, the business has been around for many years. And they are your typical Chinese Canadian food. We found the food to be expensive and low quality. The size of the dishes for takeout were smaller than all we have tried in Windsor and the food was not great! We ordered take out and picked up. When we got home we found they had forgotten something. So I had to go back down and pick it up. For my troubles I got half a dozen extra fortune cookies and some very greasy egg rolls. You could practically wring the grease from them. Will definitely NOT be trying them again.
