Myself and a couple of coworkers dropped in for a quick lunch a few days ago. The service was probably the worst i have ever seen. 45 minutes after ordering we received are food which was not great, then had to stand another 10 minutes at the counter to pay so we could rush back to work. The worst part of the whole ordeal was that the place wasn’t even busy, so it was very frustrating waiting so long for everything. This place has nothing left of its former glory, I felt embarrassed for bringing my co workers after telling them how amazing the place was.

My wife and I had a corn beef sandwich and pastromi Reuben
Reuben was excellent. Corn beef was good. We were worried because the reviews varied quick a bit in 2014. I would go back for the pastromi.

I decided to hit up Malic’s last week after staying the night at Caesar’s. I had not been to Malic’s since January 2010 and was really craving one of their big rubens. Sadly, our experience was beyond disappointing. The ruben I had was overpriced and of sub-​par quality. Moreover, the burger my boyfriend ordered was overcooked and quite possibly microwaved. Before we went there I had boasted about how great their sandwiches were and how quick the service was, Malic’s you have disappointed me and embarrassed me, thanks. I can’t believe this place has gone this far down hill in one year.

Where do you go in Windsor if you want a reasonable deli sandwich? Malic’s. This place has been around for decades and decades. They do a pretty brisk lunch time biz. Service can be slow too. Well, at least trying to catch a waitress. There appears to be only one working the whole restaurant.
The smoked meat is okay. In Windsor where the mediocre seems incredible, Malic’s has found its constituency. The price is nice. A smoked meat, fries (which were pretty decent), some slaw, and a pickle for $ 9.
There’s no parking, other than street parking and that frightens Windsor people. «I might have to park… a block away?»
