Great food for a good price. The Szechuan beef is the best I have had in the Gta and their rice is delicious. There is a big choice of Thai and Chinese food. I love this place, and the staff are always friendly. The best take out in the neighbourhood.

I wouldn’t say it tasted bad or offensive. I just found it very bland, boring and lacking in flavour.

I’ve been waiting for this moment for the last two and a half years. To find a great chinese food restaurant, in my area, well-priced and super tasty. We decided to order takeout from here to try them out; I decided to stay away from the pre-arranged combos and just order what I wanted off the menu. I really wanted to get a sense of what this place was like, so I tried to order a variety of dishes so we could try them out. We ordered: egg rolls, asian spring roll, mini samosas, beef chow mein, chicken fried rice, sweet & sour wonton, breaded jumbo shrimps with lemon and honey garlic spareribs. Egg rolls were great, your typical chinese food egg roll but super tasty. When you’ve had a bad egg roll, the good ones are just so so good! Asian springroll was okay but I’d stick with the regular egg roll going forward. Mini samosas were a great buy, 3 samosas(nothing really seemed«mini» about them to me!) and they were very tasty with a nice flavorful filling. The beef chow mein was actually one of the stand out dishes. I am not a big beef person but the beef was SO tender and the flavor of the entire dish was just excellent. Chicken fried rice was good as well, nice and dark in color and had a good flavor. Not your average boring rice. Sweet and sour wontons were good too but I’m a bit ton. The wontons had nothing in them, I was expecting a filled wonton but these were just deep fried wontons. They came with the sweet and sour sauce on the side(which I mostly used for my shrimp) but they were oddly addictive. I ended up eating them like potato chips the next day as a snack. If I had a big group, i might order these again. The shrimp were good with the lemon but I like dipping sauces(as mentioned) so I had them with the sweet and sour sauce. Lastly, the honey garlic spareribs were the typical tiny spareribs in nice sweet honey garlic sauce. These are a favourite and didn’t disappoint. Our food was ready in 15 minutes and was waiting for us when we arrived. Not much place to sit so mostly a takeout joint unless you’re by yourself or with a friend. I will come back here for sure and hopefully soon. I really enjoyed this place and they have a lot more on the menu to explore, including a whole Thai menu. Would definitely recommend and this place is so far, the best Chinese I’ve had in Whitby.

I’ve been eating a Rice To Go for years. It’s a little place with great takeout and their rice bowls are the perfect meal. I usually can’t finish one and just save the rest for lunch the next day. I don’t eat fried food and they’ve substituted plain chicken in whatever sauce, like General Tao or Thai Sweet and Sour whenever I’ve asked, really accommodating and a nice family run place.

Always get the rice bowls with general tso or Thai red curry chicken. The pricing is really good and you get a load of food and quickly.

Rice To Go is located in a plaza with a small store front. It has minimal seating for those waiting for their food, so it’s best to order ahead to avoid standing around. They are pretty quick and often have specials! My favourite rice bowl is Mongolian Beef. The combination of fresh vegetables, sweet and spicy tender beef has me coming back. It was the first thing I tried there, so I have trouble trying other dishes! TIDBIT! Not in the mood for rice? They will replace the rice with udon noodles! My family orders them all the time! The food here is so fresh, I had to write about them. Everything is made to order, not ahead of time. They have a large menu, so I’m sure you’ll change your mind 10 times before settling… but in the back of your mind, you’ve already got the dish picked out for your next visit! Not in the mood for cooking, but don’t want to get out of your track pants? Pick it up or have it delivered. Never go hungry again!

We typically do delivery and never an issue. The food is fresh and hot… and delicious. Its hard to get good Asian food prepared and served in a clean and tidy environment. RTG is just that. If you and your family are tired after a long day and you crave deep fried wontons or soo guy, this is the spot.

Rice to go is a one of my favourite lunch spots to pick up one their«Rice Bowls», but I have also had take dinners her as well and its quite good. Lunch ranges from $ 5 – 7 and they have a frequent diner stamp card which gives you a free lunch after 10 stamps(I am on my third card. LOL) Clean and tidy. worth checking out.
