This place was o.k. The service was good and timely. I had a margarita, it was tasty. My niece had sex on the slopes and it was delish! We ordered Calamari and two pizzas. One had steak, kale onions and blue cheese, the other was a standard meat pizza. It was o.k. but really stingy on The meat. There were approximately 3 pcs of meat on each pizza. Not quite the value, but it was good and the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded.

We finally arrived in Whistler and decided to eat here for dinner since it was within walking distance from our hotel. This place was really loud inside! We sat towards the window and were able to order food(the kitchen was closing soon). Our server was friendly and slightly confused when she made conversation with us lol. She gave us complimentary bread with vinegar and olive oil while we browsed through the menu. My friend ordered an IPA and we shared the sambuca prawns and the cheese stuffed tortellini. She really piled on the freshly grated cheese for our pasta and put some more on the side! Both dishes were really tasty! I especially liked the garlic butter sauce for the prawns and kept dipping more bread into it. The pasta had Mornay cheese sauce on top and it had a nice crispy golden layer. The portions seemed small, but was pretty filling. By now, the kitchen was closed and we left satisfied.

Nice service and food, nothing special though. I liked that it was casual and not too packed. Bill was a bit steep, but it’s Whistler.

La Bocca was one of the few places that wasn’t totally packed during the après-ski time of day. We stopped in and got a comfortable booth that could seat 8. Unfortunately, they were out of 4 out of 6 of the pizzas on the pizza menu! I had a salsiccia pizza($ 14), which had strips of sausage rather than ground sausage. The pizza was a little dry, and I wasn’t a fan of the tough crust. The crispy capers were a great touch though. The soup of the day, a French onion soup($ 7), really hit the spot. My hot toddy was satisfying as well. Both helped me regain circulation in my toes.

First of all we asked our server, Mattieu, if there were any additions to the menu or things they were out of, to which he replied no… then when we started asking about the individual dishes he had to fess up that the place was out of lamb… which by now we had decided on! The bison was ok, the polenta delish. The samba a sauce in the prawns was overly sweet; could have used less sugar. We were sharing the dishes… were given two tiny plates and no spoons, so we were left with shovelling the main course onto the small dishes. Nice beer selection; otherwise not that impressed.

We are here today and I was really happy with the service and the meal. They offer gluten free penne pasta for all you fellow Celiacs’, too. I had the pomodori e Panna(tomatoes and cream) and my dad had spaghetti, also with the gluten free penne. Both were super yummy and huge portions! We also shared one drink– the«Abandoned Ship.» It was sweet and light and a nice treat before dinner. The inside of the restaurant is kind of funky chic and it’s a nice environment too. Nice music selection too:)

I would give this two stars because the bartender was amazing! But I can’t. We were off to a great start with some drinks from a pretty cool bartender while waiting for out door seating, which didn’t take long. We had our drinks and were outside within a perfect time frame. Well, from there it was ALL downhill. The server seemed bothered with having to serve us. The table was tiny and there were four girls all with drinks. We ordered our food and a second round of drinks. The second round was brought out to us but he left very quickly and didn’t clear our other glasses making the table even smaller. Then our food came out but just for three of us. He kept telling us the one persons pizza was coming out. We all finished our food and our one girlfriend still didn’t have her pizza. She told him to forget it but he brought it out later as we were all ready do pay. He did take it off her bill. Just a bad experience for a first time in Whistler for some of us and a first time in years for others. I will NEVER go back here. Food was blah… nothing to rave about and super small portions. Found it odd a restaurant of this low caliber of food and service would survive in Whistler but they do have prime real estate location so I guess that’s why… great for people watching though!

Good food, Good service. Yes, it’s a little pricey for what you get, but you’re in Whistler and sitting in the centre of the Village so I think it’s to be expected! The food was decent. We were there around lunch time and there was a steady flow of people coming in and out. The pancakes were our favourite, just light and fluffy. We also ordered the spaghetti bolognese and another pasta which were both good too. Great location in the Village and the patio has lots of heaters!

Resort food at a resort restaurant. Only had 2 of the 6 pizzas on the menu left, which tells me they are pre made. Simple menu, designed to have you come in, get your food quickly and get out. Passable I suppose, but barely. Think a ½ notch up from old spaghetti factory.

No complaints here. We didn’t have a reservation and were seated immediately inside, or could have waited 10 min for a patio seat. The waitress was friendly. I had the Hudson Bay cocktail which was served in a pint class. We had the antipasto tray, it was all excellent. M For the main course, I had the mushroom pizza which was very good, I had to take some to go. My wife had the pine nut crusted chicken on ratatouille, which she liked very much. I would definitely come back!

Tasty enough food, with very kind and attentive staff. We were in the mood for some spaghetti, so we had the bolognese which hit the spot. Also got some dessert — tiramisu was excellent. Great outdoor seating for summertime dining.

The food was decent. My husband and I both tried the homemade pizzas and found them to be a good portion and tasted good. Not the best pizza I’ve ever had certainly but felt is was above average. Overall fine spot to grab a quick bite or in our case lounge a bit while we wait for the weather to clear up. Either way don’t think you could go wrong compared to the other spots in the area

The food was excellent. I had the green salad and mushroom ravioli, which was fantastic. My husband had the soba noodles which he loved(I tasted and agree!). The outdoor dining is nicely done and the staff was attentive and on top of the busy crowd. Highly recommend

It happened to be one of our friends birthdays while in Whistler so we wanted to have a nice dinner to celebrate. We chose La Bocca the previous night but reservations were full so we opted for the next night. La Bocca is located in the heart of Whistler Village so its a great place to people watch if you sit on the patio. I ordered the Spruce Grove Greens salad, with cranberries, feta, and a maple grapefruit vinaigrette. The feta and dried cranberries were a nice touch which is why i ordered it, but other than than it was a pretty tasteless salad, the dressing just tasted like oil and it drowned everything out, i did not taste any grapefruit or maple, very disappointing for $ 12 For my entrée i had the seafood risotto, the rice was grossly undercooked and hard and crunchy inside. I know that restaurants undercooked risotto and prepare it the night before then finished to order, but this was seriously hard and the rice just stuck to each other in a large clumpy mess. 2 other people at our table also ordered risotto and had the same comment too. I just didn’t want to send it back wait for them to fix it, The seafood on top was also disappointing too, over cooked, dried out salmon and muscles, the scallop i guess was decent, even worse is paying $ 26 for bad food and a mandatory 17% tip for having a large party. Looking back i guess i should have sent it back or ordered something else. Over all i was not impressed with anything that i had. One of my friends who ordered the salmon was not impressed either but another person who opted to order 2 small plates, liked his mushroom ravioli and muscles. Not sure if he’s not as picky or if i just ordered the wrong things. Service was nice and friendly, if i ever found myself in whistler again, I’d take a chance on breakfast or lunch its not as technical to make as risotto.

Wow, looks can be deceiving!!! Our group wanted to grab a nice dinner and a few drinks one sunny Saturday evening in Whistler and decided to try this place out based on the large crowd and sunny patio. The ambience was good and the first round of drinks were great. The server was polite and shared the daily specials with us. We ordered some flatbread with prosciutto, figs, and goat cheese that were delivered promptly. What a disappointment! The bread was cold and soggy… they didn’t even warm the dish up before sending it out. Also, the kitchen was generous enough to include some free hair with the dish. Two others from the group ordered mussels and fries. One of the orders had a hair in it as well, and my order had a piece of plastic in it — yummy! This was the worst meal I have ever had, period! Our relatives from Vancouver that were with us were embarrassed that this place could ever be associated with such a beautiful area in BC. At least the manager had the common sense to comp our lousy meal.

Went to Whistler for a short vacation. Certainly was craving/expecting good, very good food BUT in high season everything is booked and very busy. Waited to be seated for about 20′ minutes, not bad at all. Dishes looked good but tasted just average or below average. The best thing was the house made chips and deep — above average. Asparagus soup — average Spaghetti — somewhat average Risotto with prawns(prawns looked like small shrimp) — way below average Pacific BLT — way below average, in fact disappointment Pacific Salmon salad — below average Double espresso– yaaak Green tea — comes in a packet — so no disappointment there :) Vanilla flavored soda — good Whole thing was — $ 99 plus $ 25 tip = $ 124 I would have given one star but the service made it to two stars. This place being in prime location I would recommend the owner work on the Menu!!!

Came here with some friends for breakfast/brunch before heading back down to Vancouver. The location is awesome because you can do some great people watching while sitting on the patio. The food however was alright. The waitress forgot my regular coffee 2 times and it was definitely the end of the pot(you know, that burnt almost cigarette taste). I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict which was pretty fishy(I know, then don’t order fish-but I mean it didn’t taste that fresh) and the hollandaise was sparse. I could see maybe coming back for a bevy but definitely not to eat.

We woke up late after a great night out, and wanted breakfast food. mind you it was 1pm. Luckily, La Bocca was close to our hotel and the menu at the front looked tasty. I’ll keep this one short and sweet. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese. It was exactly how it should have been, minus the fact that I was wearing a Canucks jersey and slurped sauce on it. Very good though, and a good lunch serving. I didn’t feel gross full afterwards. My wife got the benny, but three kinds. Salmon, Ham and Veg with wedge fries. Fries were really good, but the hollandaise didn’t taste like much. I think we can all agree that the sauce is what makes the benny(just me?). So she was dissapointed. I took a picture. it was pretty. But that’s about it. Decent — i’d go back and try out some other stuff. Their menu did look interesting with a lot of creative items on there. Nice people watching patio. That was the height of our excitement though, sadly. And as i’m sure many of you are aware by now, so many places in Whistler do not take Interac. Either cash or credit. There is an ATM there though.

The mushroom ravioli on the menu caught our eyes while perusing menus of eating establishments in Whistler Village. There were lots of available tables outside, but it was cold, so we wanted to eat inside. The hostess said it would be about a 30 minute wait, so we walked around checking out the other options, but in the end decided that La Bocca was where we wanted to be. The interior of the restaurant is red with like a stone floor and it’s dark — it kind of reminds me of like a vampire’s castle or something lol. Our server was awesome — very cheerful, friendly, and helpful in answering all our questions. I wanted to try the local brew from the Whistler Brewing Company. They only had one in bottle form — none on draft. It was called the Bear Paw Honey Lager and it was really good! It was light and refreshing and the label with the bear was so cute. I also ended up getting another beer that was on tap — all the draft beers on the menu were local, from BC — a few from Vancouver and one from Vancouver Island. They had the a small order of the wild mushroom ravioli under the small plates section of the menu, which comes with five ravioli. But they also have the ravioli as a main entrée version which comes with ten ravioli. The ravioli is really good — get the full size portion. Yum. The food came out a little slow, but it was pretty busy in the restaurant, it was Saturday and everybody is probably super hungry from snowboarding down the slopes all day. I can’t say enough about the customer service — our server was so great. She accommodated our request to split the check four ways and she did it with a smile!
