Fantastic place. Busy, but they were able to get our large group in quickly. Especially appreciated with an impatient 2 year old. They were kind enough to bring bread to the little guy to keep him. Calm while we waited too. Had the bone in ribeye which had a wonderfully tasty crust and deli scouts chipotle butter. Partner had the lamb shank which was tender and incredibly flavorful. Only downside I would say is an unimpressive and overpriced wine list. Aside from this I strongly recommend and look forward to going back.

Everything was amazing! First the bad: — louder environment — kind of a small place –hard to get reservations at peak times –prices are higher than surrounding places The good: The food!!! The bread with the butter I was skeptical about since I think it should come free and not as a $ 2 add on but the bread was fresh from the oven and the butter was fabulous! The goat cheese appetizer– creamy deliciousness ! But I am most shocked about the Stuffed Portabella dish. I decided to go outside my comfort zone. I like mushrooms– not love– and I usually don’t like them whole… I like to disguise them in something. But this dish blew me away. And from eating in the amazing restaurants of NY and NJ, I was simply shocked. A well cooked portabella cap with caramelized onions, spinach and goat cheese with a fabulous topping of Panko bread crumbs… Over scrumptious butter mashed potatoes and root vegetables grilled. Amazing amazing amazing. I may have to find a way to get a reservation to go again before leaving Whistler. Highly recommended!

We were recommended to go here by the lobby attendant at our hotel. Had the ice burg salad, mussels in red curry sauce, strip loin, and filet’s wrapped in bacon –all was fantastic, cooked perfectly and very very tasty. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed and the staff was great.

Cute place with delicious tapas and small plates. We sat at the bar, ordered a bottle of wine and had a number of small plates. The bacon wrapped fillets and the cheese was to die for

I kind of expected the Whistler food scene to be like going to the Jersey shore. There’s a couple of gems, but you mostly get a bunch of mediocre restaurants that aren’t trying because they have a captive audience. It’s the total opposite experience, and 21 Steps is one of the best choices in the village. It has a relaxing but still classy vibe. Being on the second floor allows it to be quiet but still feel like you’re in town. There’s a third floor with a more relaxed look but the same menu. The menu is stacked with intriguing choices. It’s expensive, but it’s not bad considering the US exchange rate. I got the black bean soup and the Classic spaghetti w/meat sauce. All really delicious. Surprising that they could make different cuisines well. Only thing that went wrong was that the first beer I had tasted like they had a bad line. The staff was cool about it. No harm, no foul.

Delicious Tapas, Great Service, Chili Garlic Prawns First, this was recommended by a Whistler local who thought this is one of the top three places in Whistler. Verdict, definitely one to try! Great atmosphere, it left like you are in a ski lodge: very warm and inviting. Second, I would recommend getting the Chili Garlic Prawns and the Fried Goat Cheese. We ended up eating all tapas and this was a great option! They do a variation of a few classics. The Fried Goat Cheese was 3 goat cheese balls lightly fried and sits on top of honey and caramelized onions, served with fresh bread. Heavenly! Third, do make a reservation. There was a 20 people line at 8pm outside.

I really enjoy it here each time I come. Food is great, service is efficient and price is decent, can’t ask for more. Their ribeye steak is delicious and I enjoy it every time I order it. I also like their pastas so far I’ve tried the shellfish and the puttanesca which were both decent no complaints. The tapas are also great the friend chicken was no dried and the salads are always good. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back.

First time to Whistler and completely loving the food and wine focus of this village. 21 steps was so far one of our favorites. Attentive but not stuffy service. Excellent food and wine parings. Great unique drinks. We are total food snobs and we are giving it a 5 stars over several of the other high end places that fight for attention. Lamb chops– perfect Duck– exquisite Sat at the bar and they really nailed the whole meal. Will be back.

This restaurant was our favorite place to eat during our long whistler weekend. The atmosphere was perfect, more than casual but not fancy, a place where jeans are as appropriate as a dress. The service was great, out waitress was very attentive. We ordered the bacon wrapped filet bites and the fried goat cheese are both were delicious. We also ordered a salad to share, I can’t remember which salad, but it was yummy! The Rosemary gimlet was also great!!! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went here as our hotal staff recommaned it as one of the best places in Whistler and sure it is. The 21 Steps Kitchen & Bar is located in Whistler Main Village in the pedestrian zone and can be found easily. The second story location offers stunning views of the village and surrounding mountains. The experienced servers and bartenders treated us well. During the whole evening we were looked after the same server who introduced himself with his name and made us feeling special. For diner I chose a three course menu starting with a Fried Goat Cheese with caramelized onion and rosemary scented honey than haviong the great Wild BC Salmon Filet grilled with ponzu butter and finished with the best ever eaten Caramel Apple Crumble served warm with vanilla ice cream. I chose as well a BC white wine with was pointed oput by the server. After the menu I took The Canadian(Canadian Club Rye, maple syrup, fresh lime, soda) as a after diner drink and was satisfied totally with the evening. We were so glad that we went here and the next time I’m in Whistler i’ll come back for sure!

It was an actual 21 steps to reach deliciousness. Well, we took an extra 18 and ate in the Attic, their upstairs lounge, which was actually really great as I found it nice and cozy up there. The food was really tasty. We started out with the kale salad which was light and refreshing and hit all the right notes with crunchy, sweet, tart, bright, etc. Then we split two large plates, the BC Bowl which was filled with yummy smoked salmon, a dill cream sauce and fresh peas, and also the Ribeye which was by far one of the most yummy steaks I’ve had. The cajun butter it’s cooked with really adds a level of oomph to the dish. It came recommended to us by our server who also indicated medium is best cook on it. Trust me, I’m a medium rare steak gal, but he assured me to go medium on this one. Really really delicious. Our server was awesome. Very attentive yet not overbearing. He was conversational, welcoming, informative, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I knew whatever he was suggesting he was pointing us in the right direction. I would highly recommend this spot to those visiting Whistler. Reminds me of great places I love in NYC. Would go back on the regular if I was from here. Deal Seeking Diva tip: ½ carafes of wine are the way to go. Great way to share wine at a great price.

Hands down on the food. I’ve never had a buttermilk chicken that good. Crunchy on the outside and sooo soft inside. The steak that my bf got was perfectly cooked and the chipotle butter made it even better. The smoked chicken pasta was so delicious that every chicken pasta i have had after that, could not top it. There’s just something about that smokey flavoured chicken thats oh so good. My only complain was the meat wrapped in bacon(i forgot what it was called). Some of the pieces melts in your mouth but some are a little tough. But the mudpie dessert saved it. From the price, service and food, I’d definitely be down to drive up to whistler again just for this place.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon after having spent the day chilling by Lost Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes close to the village, decided to head for dinner with a friend. On the suggestion of locals decided to give this place a try. We arrived just before the dinner rush started, so I suggest you show up before 6pm to get your choice of table and fast delivery of food. The décor is very basic and doesn’t meet the typical Whistler higher end furniture selection. The service was friendly and unassuming. We ordered an appetizer which was the short ribs with a soy sauce which was the highlight of my meal, the seafood pasta on the other hand was just ok. I would recommend ordering a bunch of tapas as opposed to a main as observing the tables around us, those seemed to be the winners. Needless to say I’ll have to come back to try more of the tapas to give this place a fair review.

We went here on our honeymoon. Thank God we did This was quite honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We had the $ 36 prefix. The muscles in red curry sauce; New York strip; and crème brûlée. We started with a bottle of vueve champagne. And I had 2 kettle one martini. The derive was perfect. The location is trendy and cute. This is quite honestly one of the best dinners that we’ve ever had

This is a cool restaurant in the whistler village. It’s upstairs and has a nice view of the walk below. The atmosphere is pretty good. Pretty mellow and is typically pretty busy so make a reservation. The staff was nice and attentive to us. They were a young wait staff and somewhat inexperienced. Seemed mostly like ski/board/bike type people and doing this for money. No complaints really. The food wasn’t spectacular. The prices were decent. The only thing I loved about this was the bread and the butter. It was a treat. We had to ask for it which they immediately obliged but it wouldn’t been nice to have it brought out. The stuffed mushrooms are a no. I think they’re actually made with cheese wiz. Anyway, no mushrooms. Shortrib was decent, schnitzel not bad, and appetizers typical.

Pretty good restaurant and as the name suggests you have to climb 21 steps to get in. The service was good for our party of 16. They had a 3 course meal special on for $ 36/-. Pick a plate from the small dishes and another from the big dishes. Finish with desert. We had a mixture of mussels(very good), garlic prawns from the small dishes. I had the cod with rice. Another had the short rib which was a tasty hunk of meat with no bones, the half portion of chicken was also good. The roast lamb also tasted good. In general, the portions were large and the food pretty good, so was the service.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The food was marvelous from the appetizer to the dessert. The service was correct and pleasant. The wine selection was good. Te price was the best price quality we found in Whistler in week vacation. We like the ambiance. I would certainly recommend this to a friends.
