I’ve been in Vancouver for just over 6 years now and subsequently have been to almost every location Windsor Meats has opened. Most recently I moved to east Vancouver and have fell in love with the Hastings shop. Bonus! I recognize some of the staff from the original location… Jesse, who has since returned to west Van(arse). Lots of great things going on here. PLEASESUPPORTLOCALMEAT&AGRICULTURE!

This place is awesome. A bunch of young guys doing everything by hand and doing it right. I don’t mind paying a bit more for real food that tastes amazing and is t pumped full of chemicals. Ask the guys what’s on special or what’s fresh and they always have great advice. Love this place

Well, this place is a bit rich for my blood– being a full time student who only works 24 hours a week… BUT I love steak. MMMMMMMmmmmmmm. Steak. So does my brother. So, to celebrate his return from Afghanistan, I bought him a Porterhouse that weighs 3.78 lbs. The guy cut it for me, and gave me a bit of a deal so I didn’t have to pay $ 71 for just one steak… So, I’m adding a picture of this gigantic steak, and suggesting you all go their if you enjoy your AAA beef. Honestly, all I buy there is beef, never tried anything else they stock.

I had heard that Windsor Meats was THE place to go but unfortunately I found expensive but very average product. My girlfriend and I splurged on 2 of their dry-aged steaks, the man behind the counter insisted that they would be very tender and flavourful. In fact, they were neither. To be quite blunt, they were chewy and quite bland. When I pay $ 30 for two steaks and get quality that is inferior to grocery store meat, I’ll make sure I’ll never spend my money there again.
