It’s a sad day when a store decides that Star#$$s is the business model :(papercups and landfills yay! I went into the newly moved Park Royal North(The Bay side) location after some months of being away. It was so dissapointing when they didn’t use the teaware anymore. That means paper cups galore!!! wahhh sniff, sniff… honestly I thought I was in a parallel universe. This was my go-to place for doing tea with class. I would ask for a teapot filled with hot water, Prince Charles teabag on the side, and cup and saucer. The cup would always be swirled with hot water and drained to keep the teacup hot as long as possible. This would be enjoyed with an X-tra large cookie… more bad news(they are now medium size — ie. english bay cookes. They don’t do this anymore because apparently they had to down-size and it costs them more money to train people in how to serve hygienically. Silly but understandable. That side of the mall has taken quite a hit since PR Village opened. Oh well… literally it broke my heart. I walked out very sad… the world is changing to quick, fast, and cheap.

This is a good coffee shop with some friendly and some absolutely rude staff. Word of Caution: The coffee cups don’t fit into the lids properly and caused a major burn for me. Watch out and don’t be discouraged if you run into the intolerable baristas.

I walk by everyday and have always been hit with the yummy aroma of earl grey and rooibos tea. so I finally had to go in and try it out… Like being transformed to an tea shop in London in the days of yore. that’s right I said the days of yore… it’s dark and cozy. filled with teas and cookies and so much more… I was in a bit of a hurry so i just jumped in line to order a tea. I had an earl grey at the recommendation of the girl behind the counter. with some milk and honey.,.loved the cup it came in. no pesky sleeve. the cup is designed so that the heat is isolated in the cup but will not burn your hand. I don;t really know how to explain it. but it’s brilliant! I will be back to look at some of the teas and take a few bags to take home with me…
