The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

The strength of this place is the people. Of course the food is exceptional, but I think that’s the case with most Keg restaurants. What you don’t always find is happy, engaging staff who are awake and alive and not robotic. Too many servers are zombies by 8pm, but there must be something in the Waterdown water. Every server we have had at this location operates like they have a vested interest in the success of the restaurant.
Well done Keg Waterdown! Don’t ever become Upper James! :)

Just wanted to say that the customer service is excellent here! Our order didn’t come out right and Derek the manager not only fixed it, but gave us shrimp martinis and 10 bucks off our bill! Also wanted to shout out to our excellent server Chelsea as well! Love this keg! Keep up the great customer service !!!

The Keg is awesome. Consistent quality and service. Twice a month dining with the family. Often host business dinners.

What can I say, this place is fabulous.
Great atmosphere inside, everything I’ve ever had has been delicious and high quality. I really care about my steak, only the best, and it must be done to perfection. The Keg gets it right every time. The servers are superb, I have nothing but good things to say about it here, it’s a regular for me.

All Canadian chain? Yes, I’ll try it!
I’d equate this joint to like a Wildfire in Chicago… where I reside. It has a mix of steak and seafood in a fancy but not pretentious atmosphere. We had some delish brews and food that left us so totally satisfied.
Was the Billy Miner Pie off the hizzie? Yes, my friends.
Buy that. Eat it. Be merry.
I would go back again and again. We brought the babies along and they were pretty cooperative, but it didn’t matter because the noise level was decent loud but not too loud where you’re yelling. High back booths were all kinds of romatical if you’re into that sort of thing.

Wow! loved the food and our great server Nathan! Had the tempura veggies to start followed by seafood sirloin — cooked perfectly! I am still on a sugar high from eating an entire Billie Miner ice cream pie! Heaven!

Been eating at The Keg chain since the opening of the Burlington Keg back in 1979, and the addition to the chain up here in Waterdown is a GREAT idea!
Been there now 7 times since they’ve opened and each and every time, it’s the same old story… superb cocktails, stunning service and absolutely terrific food…
The Lobster promo on now is a boon to anyone who loves this item… we had it just a few days ago and we’re again impressed and MORE than satisfied.
Congrats George on the opening 30+ years ago… and to the various corporate types who’ve continued this chains success…

This is in Waterdown. I am just shocked and really, gobsmacked. This place has the most helpful staff. They were just phenomenal!
Not only did they help us with our group of 4 plus small baby to find the right seat with room for people to move around the buggy and for the baby to have space but they also helped us by giving the baby attention when we were trying desperately to get him to settle while we ate.
Helpfully when we ordered and my sister alerted them to her fish allergy, the manager came and said they were scrubbing the grill for her so there would be no seafood residue on the grill. Just fantastic!
I’m really impressed with the staff at this chain restaurant from quick delivery of the bill so we could get baby to bet to going out of their way to find space and let us know about the delay due to cleaning the grill. Would be nice to see this kind of great service in the UK too!
