The Spa Magnolia

Wife and I stopped by during our weekend getaway, the staff was very professional and ambience was calm and relaxing. Locker/​bathroom was very clean and well kept. We both got facials and eyebrow wax, I found it competitively priced for other spas in the area. Definitely be back next time we stay the night in Victoria

Cons: I got an one hour Swedish massage but the massage was only max 45 mins. The masseuse was also not professional, the guy didn’t know what he was doing. Pressure, skills, attitude were not worth $ 100. I will probably only pay $ 30 for this
Pro: ambience music and facility were very relaxing.
Overall, don’t waste your money. Go somewhere else.

I have been to many spas. I found this one to be ok. I got a pedicure with no polish. When I got home there still was some polish on my nails that was not removed. The person at the reception argued with me about what a Swedish massage was until I told them to google it. The shower head did not work properly. The waiting area was a bit budget.
When I go to a day spa it is to be spoiled. It is a treat and I expect to feel like an goddess through the full experience. I have always felt this way at other spas. I did not at this spa.

Absolutely wonderful! After receiving a gift certificate, I booked my waxing here and was blown away! Staff are professional but friendly, the place is spotless and the waxing I received was the best I’ve ever had! It’s a little more expensive but the quality is top notch! Will not be going anywhere else for waxing!

I’ve been to the Spa Magnolia several times when on business and I’ve always been 100% satisfied. The prices are so affordable (RMT) — and the quality is so great when you compare this to a 5-​Star hotel like the Fairmont or Pac Rim.
Beautiful interior with friendly staff — the only thing that is missing is that there is no steam room, or sauna area.
I’ve also had a few pedicures here and I am quite happy with the results. The technicians do take their time and try to make it as relaxing as possible. The only downside is that there are limited OPI colours, so hopefully this changes in the near future.

I’ve been going here since it opened, but not exclusively, though I must say this is one of the top spas in Victoria for services and care, and the best in pedicures.
I like the nice touches such as real candles, tea and citrus water, loaner reading glasses in the waiting area, plush memory foam pedicure massage tables that you just sink into, and high quality personal care options and toiletries in the change room.
The Transformation Pedicure ($ 65) is the best in Victoria because they do them while you are lying down so that you can rest or even nap while your feet are being transformed. Another reason is because of the professional, attentive care from the estheticians, all trained at The Aveda Institute. Aveda-​trained professionals stick to meticulous sequencing and procedures every time and you will notice it at any spa, even in their stress-​relieving foot massages.
For $ 15 add on the paraffin wax treatment to the pedicure, and you will also get a relaxing hand and arm massage while your feet take in the heat and benefits of the paraffin.
Last year I enjoyed the Escape spa package for over three hours of bliss as a birthday splurge ($ 285 — hydrotherapy, massage, exfoliation, facial, mani and pedi). My daughter has enjoyed their massage, pedi and manicure services as well, and I’ve enjoyed their couples massage with my partner.
Note, there are male and female estheticians, so if you have a preference you can advise when you make an appointment.
The only change I can suggest currently is that the main door now has a loud piezo alarm tone when opened that I could hear all the way to the back room.

I booked a 1 hr pregnancy massage there with Kerry (one of their RMT’s), and my husband had a regular massage with him. Very nice atmosphere, attentive/​knowledgeable staff, and you can take a nice shower with their amazing products once you are done with your massage. Will certainly be back! Oh and they were so reliable getting back to us to book our appointments, since I had left them a voicemail on Easter Sunday.

My first visit to the Spa Magnolia, and so glad I went! I received a wonderful pedicure in a lovely setting, from a skilled and knowledgeable attendant. I called for an appointment and they were able to schedule me in within an hour of my call. I left relaxed and uplifted, with very happy feet, and will certainly return there for some other type of service again… their massage and facials sound divine.
