Haven’t tried many pizza places in Victoria, but this place is definitely comparable with pizza places in Vancouver. I was surprised to see this pizzeria tucked into what seemed like industrial buildings all around. The plus side is that Hoyne and Driftwood are just down the block, so you can go for a tasting of local beer, and then stop by here for some delicious pizza. I went with my usual order of a margherita pizza, except that I added anchovies. Pizza was perfectly made, and the crust was delicious. They also have a good beer and wine menu for those who want something to go with the delicious pizza. For dessert, there is gelato

Without a doubt, the best pizza on the island! Moving to Victoria from Vancouver 9 years ago, we were sadly disappointed with so many eating establishments here in Victoria(we still haven’t found any good Chinese restaurants yet)! Finding this gem was Victoria’s redeeming factor — rivalling the best pizza pies in Vancouver or even in Welland Ontario with its HUGE Italian population and excellent pizzerias. Prima Strada even has its official«Verace Pizza Napoletana» standing. Yup, they’re certified! And there’s only 8 such certified establishments in all of Canada! We usually get the«Rucola e crudo» pizza which has tomato, parmigiano, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto di parma, and arugula. Not big fans of arugula… especially when plunked atop a pizza… we ask for mushroom instead and they cheerfully make it just like that! The thinly sliced prosciutto is the REAL stuff… from Italy! You see the big ‘ol slab sitting in the slicer where it’s carved«a la minute»(per order, when ordered). We prefer their cozy, intimate Cook Street location over the much larger Bridge Street location(haven’t been to their Fort Street location yet) and have even enjoyed a slice from their mobile pizza oven when our office hired them for a special outdoor lunch for 300 employees a few years back! Sitting at the counter just inches from the pizza chefs working away at the hot oven makes for an entertaining side show at their Cook Street location. If you like authentic, thin crust, wood-fired pizza… then you can’t miss out coming here!

Terrible service, our waitress fully forgot about us, we could hear the other two waitresses complaining about and calling our waitress names and instead of trying to improve our experience by stepping up, they were just rude to our table and obviously annoyed to be serving us. Won’t be returning.

Excellent Italian style pizzeria. Pizza was superb. I decided on the Quattro Formaggi and added their house made sausage. It was seriously one of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. Cute venue. Quite busy. This is to be expected with quality pizza in Canada. Lol

Delicious but expensive. The do was great but the amount of toppings was a bit skimpy.

Wow amazing meatballs and salad and calzone! This place is as good as the first spot we went to but not quite as busy which is perfect! Highly recommend it for anybody that wants and Italian extravaganza! The calzone is crazy crazy Gouda!

A big fan of PPS but this is my least favourite location. Why? The staff are for the most part allergic to smiling. The tone is set in this regard by the Manager. If she miles her face would crack. Lighten up people, if you look like you are enjoying yourself the patrons might too. We have options and it’s our choice to eat here. You are not doing us a favour by serving us. Just saying

Best pizza place in town! This restaurant offers you a very classic and delicious pizza! I highly recommend the fungi one(pretty much white sauce, cheese and mushroom). The pizza dough is crispy and thin. The sauce and topping is rich and tasty. They also have a yummy tiramisu for you to try after having pizza!

I just love this place — it’s actually the only place I’ll go when I have a pizza craving in Victoria. Everything is fresh, handmade and tastes amazing. The crust is so chewy it’s delightful. I’ve never had their desserts, but have heard good things about them. Definitely try it out if you’ve never been.

Usually start of with the meatballs very tasty, my favorite pizza is the arugula & prosciutto & you can not come to this place & not have their Tiramisu!!! Although I truly do wish it was a bigger portion of it but seriously this dessert is what actually keeps me coming back!!! Good ambiance & decent pizza can’t go wrong.

This is the best pizza I have had on Vancouver Island. I have been to both locations many times and have never had a bad pizza experience. The only time that came close to a bad food experience was when I ordered a tiramisu and it was soggy and gross, but when I mentioned it to the server she brought me a new one that was delicious. I don’t drink wine but I believe there selection is acceptable and there beer menu works for me. Both locations do get quite busy Thursday too Sunday, and if you plan on eating in on those nights I highly recommend a reservation. Service can be slow on busy nights, but never unreasonable. Over all this is the best pizza place in Victoria, and I’ve yet to find a better place in anywhere else, but I also haven’t tried many pizza places out side of Victoria.

LOVE! I like this location a lot better than on Cook St. It can be busy in the evening, but I’ve never found it to be a problem. All the pizzas are amazing. We got sandwiches as a lunch special once and they were amazing too. Love the coffee. Some of the drinks are a little small/pricey but the food makes up for it. Even something as simple as their bean salad was incredible somehow. Service is quick, friendly and professional. 5 stars!

I used to love going here. They have great pizzas and servers are all nice and kind. The atmosphere seems to be great too although I only did take-outs. However, I broke my molar tooth while eating salumi with olive and bread on my last visit. So I am afraid to go there any more.

Soggy pizza. Watched others get served their pizza who had ordered after me. Wait staff’s only comment was that they’re really busy. The pizza wasn’t worth the wait.

Probably the rudest staff I have encountered. Thought it was just a bad night, but happened a again. At these prices and the lack of any real ambience we won’t come again.

We had our wedding dinner at Pizzeria Prima Strada, and it was lovely. The atmosphere and the service was great. Very attentive and they kept the food coming. The food was wonderful. We had a set menu for most of our guests, but they let the kids in the party(and the one vegetarian) order different food. We started with bread and olives, then moved on to a delicious butternut squash risotto, mussels, spare ribs, and gelato with biscotti. Everyone was stuffed and happy at the end of the meal. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Victoria. I saw the pizza that was ordered, and it looked amazing!
