I read the reviews below and had to comment! I too am not a runner, but when I was in desperate need of a certain pair of running shoes(due to plantar fasciitis) my regular running store said they could not help as the new Brooks Glycerin only came in bright pink(but didn’t mention that the shoes that I require did come in another color — but that they only sold bright pink). So after an online search I was thrilled to find that the shoe did in fact come in 3 other colors! So I started calling — first to my usual running store that said they couldn’t help me(and sounded a little annoyed). Then I found Frontrunners — where the staff sold the shoe, but didn’t have my size, however immediately said their other stores might have one. The found a pair, called me and I picked them up the next day! As I need these shoes for work bright colors are not an option. After telling the staff of my issue(Sarah I think) she actually found me another shoe, all black, that were actually almost as comfortable as the pair of Brooks Glycerin that I also bought! I couldn’t be happier and will definately be back. Excellent customer service.

I originally posted this as a less than stellar review over a price quoted on the phone then a different price being given 10 min later. However, the manager of the store called me back and apologized for the mix-up and offered to honor the price originally quoted. He made it right, one cannot ask for any more than that. When i arrived customer service was helpful, prompt and friendly. They have earned a future customer.

I’ve been shopping at Frontrunners for many years now, and can’t say enough great things about this shop! Customer service has been a bit of an issue in the past(as previous reviews have stated) but over the past couple of years, they have obviously taken a lot of effort to return to their core beliefs and offer amazing service! Their knowledgable staff are always eager to help me and to offer any fitness tips along the way. I am a runner, but certainly not an athlete, so appreciate the kindness that they offer. I recently shopped at their Victoria store, and bought a couple of sports bras(they carry moving comfort), as well as a new pair of Nike frees. Will definitely continue to shop here, and support this local company!

Went with my wife today. Store was fairly busy with 3 customers trying on shoes. Saw the same shoes I’ve been looking at which I considered buying however, they were $ 30 higher here than the 2 stores I previously visited. In addition, to echo the other review by Mr D, nobody looked at or offered to help me the entire time, I was there(10 minutes). I too, do not have a runner’s physique but my wife does & actually IS a runner, having run 4 miles this morning before we went to the store. I don’t think the staff’s lack of customer service is based on customer body type. It seems more just a general lack of overall courtesy and/or professionalism. Either these or just poor employee training. Either way, too many reasonsnnot to return.

This was my second mostly unpleasant and uncomfortable trip to front runners and likely my last. I was really surprised to find out that they have the same owners as New Balance down town as I’ve had so much better success and been treated better at New Balance. Before I came down, I wrote on their Facebook page that I was looking to get some new runners on a budget and that I usually take a size 15. I got a reply saying that they’d be able to take care of me at that size, on a budget. I arrived at the store, there was 1 customer and 3 staff standing around. I walked by the runners, then the trail shoes. The other customer finished and left. No eye contact yet, no greeting, no «can I help you with anything?», nothing. I walk through the rest of the store, then over to the runners again, I stand there for almost 5 minutes, a guy walks by and says«Someone will be RIGHT with you» and then disappears. I walk over to the trail shoes again, stand for almost 5 more minutes, nothing, nobody could care less that I’m there. Over I go one more time(I’ve glanced toward the counter a number of times, I’m being pretty obvious throughout) to the runners, I wait and wait and wait… finally I just walk out, nobody even seems to notice. I wait a few minutes, decide I really don’t want to drive down town without at least trying to buy some shoes here, the guy told me he could get me into some shoes my size at a reasonable price. Long story short, I got helped this time, all they had for me was 1 single pair at $ 150+ which he then offered a massive 10% off. This is the second time I’ve been in and been left with the feeling that because I carry more than 2% body fat and don’t run competitively, I’m not serious enough to bother helping. I won’t likely return.
