Anoush Middle Eastern Cuisine

So I visited Anoush in the past year a few times, and I’ve noticed a trend of a downward spiral in quality.
Under the new owner/​management, the service continues to remain great, and the price is very reasonable. However, the quality of the food is another matter. The beef was not fresh, and was actually already scrapped off the skewer possibly hours ago, and put in a foil container that was sitting on the stove.
I was not impressed with that. And you can taste the difference in the meat, and the Tzatziki (or Tarator we call it in Lebanese) sauce is not nearly as good as it used to be. The vegetables seem to have lost their freshness.
Not sure if someone is cutting corners, but I hope this isn’t the beginning of something that was great, has now gone to shambles due to someone dropping the ball.

Enjoyed their beef shawarma plate. Lots of salad options. All ingredients including rice and hummus tasted fresh and flavourful. Would recommend and will go back again. Baklava is O.K. — not the standard store bought type which is always a plus. P. S. Ask for tahini sauce not «sweet sauce» like some restos call it. :)

I come here very frequent for the best tasting/​made shawarma. Everything is always fresh and priced well.
Always busy on lunch but worth the wait.

I’m not for bad reviews but this place is so generic. Nothing good to say, the food is decent, not much selection. Small portion (hardly any meat on the plate) compared to any other shwarma place I’ve been too.
Worst part is if I eat at a place don’t serve it to me on a Styrofoam plate and plastic fork.
Better options close by.

Interesting food. Not sure what I tried but it was good, just not my cup of tea. Might have to go back there and try something else as my friend really loves it.

These guys are amazing. The guy running the place is fantastic! When I ordered multiple shawarmas he immediately recommended I get a platter and scored me a combo deal. He loaded it up, good portions. But best of all

I ordered the Lamb Kefta plate. It had 2 pieces of Kefta, salad and lentil rice. The Kefta was flavourful, but too dense and too chewy. The lettuce in the salad was not crispy, and the salad dressing was not very appetizing. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the meal, and will not be coming back.

Excellent tasty Middle Eastern food. I ordered the lamb with rice and salad special and it was very tasty. The meat was perfectly seasoned. The humus and garlic sauce went really well with the potatoes and rice. My friends ordered the falafel and beef dinners and they were just as delicious. The food is healthy, fresh and will very filling. I enjoyed every bit of it. You can get a full meal there for about $ 10…it’s is definitely worth it. I would definitely go back there when I’m up in Vaughan.
The owner is also very friendly and always have a smile on his face. The owner also lets his customers write comments on one of his walls. All positive comments so far. Pretty awesome!
