I had one of their crepes before going into the Got Craft this weekend. I had the Nutella banana crêpe which was okay. They only used ½ a banana and the nutella was watered down in a squeeze bottle? Nice guys but was a little disappointed.

Ive probably passed by this truck 3 – 4 times already but finally got the chance to try it! Ze bite specializes in french baguettes and crepes! You choose your«flavour» and then you choose your«base» a baguette, crêpe or pizza! I went with the ze pig and the crêpe! It was delicious! There was a ton of flavourful pulled pork, the crêpe was tres excellent: thin and crispy! The owners are friendly too!

When a food truck comes to my neighbourhood that doesn’t have a regualr day here, I have to go. Some food carts have wanna be food network TV stars with hipster attitude, but this one doesn’t. I really liked the 2 people in the truck and the menu looked good so I gave it a try. Since I think Morrocan is one of the least represented foods in Vancouver(but one of my favourite types), I had to go for the Morrocan mint and hummus chicken crêpe. It was good but I expected more flavour for that type of food. In my case, the portion wasn’t super smal lie everyone has been talking about,. but the #1 complaint I might have goes the other way,. the price($ 10),. I felt it was more of an $ 8 max. deliverable. I’m glad I tried it and in a pinch would try a different menu item, many sounded great. Standard clarification: 3 stars according to Unilocal!scoring is NOT a negative review,. it means A-ok!(fight score inflation by reading the descriptions!)

I saw this truck on Terminal Ave. on fridays and decided to pull over and try Ze Pig in a crêpe which is a pulled pork and salad inside of a fresh crêpe/wrap thing, had dollops of goat cheese in it and DAMN was it good, like really good! I even tracked the truck down at another location a few weeks later to make a friend try it. Cant say much about their other offerings as I havent made it past Ze Pig yet but this is the kind of food this city needs more of!

Ze Bite food truck serves up taste crepes and sandwiches for«A Taste of France in One Bite!» Ze Bite offers both sweet and savory treats. My favorite is the Ze Pig — made with citrus and sage braised pork, apple, jalapenos, grainy dijon mayo and mixed greens. Today we optioned for a twist of Morocco with Ze Moroccan 10: Gluten free savory buckwheat crêpe with marinated chicken, mint, hummus, tomato sauce, and mixed greens. Made fresh with a slightly crispy skin and mouth watering explosion of flavors.

Excellent food. They didn’t have baguette, so I had Ze Pig on a crêpe. It was wondrous. I added a small tomato soup to it. Delicious. It was nice and thick closer to a hot gazpacho than the thin tomato soups we are used to. I’ll go any time they come back to our building.

I was really excited about my Provencal Sandwich. There was a big line up when I ordered it at the EPIC! fest so I assumed it would be really good.(Unfortunately I didn’t pay attention to the other previous customers who had tried their food and their disappointed faces…) I tried it and automatically wanted to return and complain. For A $ 8.50 sandwich, It should of been way, waaaaay better. Too many problems here… The bun was stale, there was almost no filling(could of been really good with less bun) and everything in it was soggy and cold. The bun or filling(grilled veggies, salad and bruschetta) was definitely not warm or fresh. This truck has great potential, great ideas for food, however, with a few tweaks, it could be delicious!

I had Ze Pig baguette sandwich($ 9) and the delicious taste is still lingering in my mouth. I’m full but craving for more. The pork was spiced well and very juicy. The baguette was crispy and chewy. Overall very good consistency. My only complaint was a 20 min wait during lunch hour. It was nice and sunny but it would be a dread if it was raining. It was well worth the wait!

Came across these guys at the Nat Bailey’s farmers market over the weekend and decided to give it a try as there was no lineup. The previous reviewers weren’t exaggerating in pointing out the minuscule portions. Ordered a small beef bourgingnon and it was literally two mini cubes of meat over some brown rice. The food was meh. I also found it a big turn off when the prices listed on the menu don’t include tax — at least they should have a disclaimer on the menu stating this.

I tried Ze Bite at the Food Cart festival at the Roundhouse in Yaletown last Sunday. I ordered the chickpea and fig tagine. It was decent, tasted ok, not so special. The bowl was VERY small and mainly filled with couscous. I found it strange that they list the before tax price on the menu — I have never seen that at any food truck before. Overall, it tasted ok but the serving was very small for the price paid.

I found them at the Food Cart Festival at the Waldorf. They were weird, in that they listed the pre-tax price, unlike everyone else(the menu says $ 8.38, but the you pay $ 9.50). That’s why the numbers look so… weird… The french bread was good. I wish the pulled pork sandwich had a bit more vegetable in the sandwich, though. I would have tried their stew, if I wasn’t so full already.

Ze Bite is what I’d like to call an Oliver Twist Establishment. When you eat there, you immediately turn into the world’s favourite orphan. Now, I don’t mean that you’ll run away to London, to live on the streets and become a pick-pocket. I’m instead suggesting that upon finishing your meal, you will stare at your bowl, still hungry, your stomach still aching. Naturally, you will be tempted to go back to the chef, your bottom lip quivering. «Please, sir. I want some more!» The meals at Ze Bite are so tiny you’ll need to look through a microscope AND a magnifying glass to see them. The meagre portions wont make even the smallest of stomachs content, but thankfully your taste buds will be more than happy with the flavourful, nicely spiced meals. The small Morroco-inspired menu features mostly sandwiches and tagines(fancy word for a stew /curry) — with the average price of an item coming in at around $ 10. The price seems a little too high when you consider the size of the dish you’re getting, but you wont be disappointed if you’re in the mood for an expensive, gourment snack. For me, I just can’t justify the expense for a lunch that will leave me hungry within an hour. Maybe I should consider becoming a pick-pocket after all?
