Food: 2⁄3 Ambience/service: 2⁄2 My boyfriend surprised me with this restaurant for my birthday. I’ve never been so it was definitely worth trying, since it’s something that everyone who lives in Vancouver should try at least once. The view was amazing and I got some really nice pictures. The city is actually pretty nice at night time; it was cool to see it from above. The food wasn’t bad but I definitely expected better for the amount that we paid. The cream of mushroom soup was really tasty… so flavourful and hearty and there’s bits of mushrooms. The cheesecake was also really good. The rest of the stuff we got(steak, duck breast, peach mousse thing, mussels) was mediocre at best. The vegetables were steamed and the peaches were canned. I expected more. Duck breast was pretty bland and the sauces didn’t blend together as well as I had hoped. The mashed potatoes were pretty good though!

Good food shitty service. $ 5 drinks and no refills? Server didn’t even bother to mention this to us.

Kind of a letdown, really. I’ve been to the revolving restaurants in a few other cities so I had a reference of comparison that may have influenced my perception of this place. For one thing, I didn’t think it was very high so I thought the view was a little lacklustre at certain directions. When you’re facing the water/North Van, it’s lovely! Really breathtaking. Then for a couple minutes you’re just looking at a forest of high-rise buildings. I came here on Christmas during the afternoon and they had a buffet set up so you weren’t allowed to pick from the menu(I did not know this when making reservations). So, again, take into consideration that I’m not sure if the buffet represented their typical quality of food or if it was what they could conjure up that was quick and able to sit for a while. I wasn’t a big fan of the choices or quality. Per person it was about 50 dollars and it tasted almost exactly the same as any other all you can eat lunch buffet. There were some things I tried that hit me with a sense memory of trying a new years buffet at a discount chain hotel a few years back. It’s not exactly a bad thing but it’s not in any way impressive or what I would consider worth that price. This was going to be a three star review but I had to bring it down a notch for the last point: it was fairly dirty when I was there. As in the windows were grimy and streaky and looked like they hadn’t had a good wash in a while. A normal restaurant? Not too much of a concern, you probably wouldn’t notice. But the entire sell of this place is the view and you’re looking out the windows to do so and sitting right up against them as you rotate. That seems like a good enough reason to keep them crisp and clean at all times. I think you probably get treated better at regular dinner service from the sounds of the other reviews though. I know when we were leaving they were cleaning up and changing the tables over to dinner service and they were adding nicer glasses and cloth napkins instead of paper so it seemed like there is a marked difference there. It’s just killing me now that I know this that the price of the food doesn’t reflect it.

We originally wanted to go to Vancouver Lookout, but decided to get some appetizers and drinks at this revolving restaurant instead. Luckily we were given window seating because we got to see amazing panoramic sights of the city! Dining at 553 feet above ground in a restaurant that keeps spinning might seem a little scary, but each revolution takes about an hour. If you need to use the restroom, you might be confused on where your table is since it probably has moved a little bit. The service and ambiance was very inviting and relaxing. We shared the calamari, stuffed mushroom caps, and the baked French brie. For drinks, I sipped on a caramel apple martini, which was so sweet, you couldn’t taste any of the alcohol. Did they even put any in it? LOL. Everything we tried was pretty yummy considering that people come here just for the view. If you decide to have a dinner here, you get seated towards a different side of the restaurant. I’m not sure what the difference is, since we were able to see the same scenic views anyway.

We drove to Vancouver for a day trip and met up with several friends from the area. It was their suggestion to come to this revolving restaurant. This was our first time here and boy! We were not disappointed! The view is amazeballs!!! The ambiance is elegant and relaxing. The elevator is on the outside of the building and have glass walls and doors. It can be a bit nauseating for those who are a bit fearful of heights. The service is exceptional from the time you walk in. We were immediately seated. Our friends haven’t arrived yet so we ordered our drinks. We were asked if we wanted our water cold with ice. I also requested it with lemon and the waitress showed up with lemon slices on a small plate on the side. My friend ordered the Oatmeal Stout which was lacking in flavor but very drinkable at a little over 5% ABV. It was also served with a pilsner glass. Heh :/It’s not the type of glassware one would use with a stout. Coming from the Seattle area, we’re a bit spoiled with our beers. I couldn’t fault them for that. I wanted the cabernet they had by the glass but they were out. Boo! Bummer! So I had the Merlot instead. It was a decent merlot but I wish they had the proper wine glass. They had a generic medium sized red/white wine glass. :/Minus one star for not having a cabernet and for not serving it in a proper wine glass and also for serving the stout in a pilsner glass. The little things make a world of difference. It would have completed the elegance of this place. The food is exceptional! The bread to start was perfect It came to our table hot. Perfect crunch on the outside and nice moist interior. The salmon was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! The New York Steak was also perfectly cooked with great flavor. The eggplant veggie pasta I had was delicious! The cream of mushroom soup was excellent. None of us had any complaints about the food. The calamari was also good. We all never had to ask for refills on any of our drinks. It was automatically filled when it was low. The staff was very friendly and quite accomodating. One of my friends didn’t realize the salmon had a butter sauce and he requested it without any sauce. They redid his dish without hesitation and the staff was actually concerned for his well-being. We spent about 2 ½ hours here for lunch. I timed it based on the revolution of the restaurant. *grin* It’s an hour for every rotation. We never felt hurried. I also love how we were able to see Vancouver from above. I would definitely be back here again when I’m in the area.

Clear night so great views for this December evening. The view is amazing all round. Lovely atmosphere(nicely decorated for the xmas spirit), friendly staff and we were well looked after. Not rushed at all. The food was very good and tasty. Very filling so main course is probably enough. The only downside are the toilets: they need a make over. Wouldn’t go often as it is costly but as were on a celebration night it was worth the one off!!! :)

Came to Xmas buffet… The food is hit or miss — really bad sushi for having majority of their customers Asian. Crab legs you will have to come early or it will run out. Wine list sucks unfortunately. Champagne pour is pathetically small. They do ave a whole spectrum of craft desert tho. I give kudos to the view and the service

Great food. The service was prompt and very elegant. I loved the view been here many times and will return again. It is a wonderful place to take your date too. Looking at the world from the top of the city is magical. Your thoughts of worry and problems shrink as you watch it from high up. Looking down at how small small things can get the higher you go, so dose everything else becomes small and insignificant. Great place to work on business and have meetings, or bring a date.

Ok so first time here for Brunch! Let’s start with the obvious, the view = amazing! although not for the easily nauseated(like my mom) this place has a rotating 360 floor so you get to see all of vancouver! Service = amazing. I seriously never had to ask for an orange juice refill and coffee was plentiful! Plus everyone was super friendly! So why 3 stars? well I’m not a fan of buffets, but that’s just my personal preference. The food itself was decent enough. The roast beef in particular I gotta say was probably my favorite thing along with the butterfly shrimp. They did lose points on their soups though. The cream of mushroom wasn’t really that good(more of a purée style) and the roasted red pepper soup was extremely watery. On the flip side we got to have snow crab legs! tasty! The down side? we had no idea it was coming out. One of the problems was that new types of foods are brought out after a dish is cleared out on the serving tables… but its not always a new food, they may repeat. So pretty much the crab legs came out way later after I’d eaten my fill out other stuff(hello waffles!). Overall though a decent enough experience.

I was in crunch trying to organize a group dinner for a company party for eleven adults, containing two vegetarians and one with gluten allergies with only one-day notice. I was ripping my hair out trying to find a venue! I sure was relieved and excited to find Top of Vancouver could reserve a large table on a Friday evening, as I’ve always wanted to see the gorgeous view on a clear night. Some of our party was late, and the server had no issue serving bread, wine and appetizers while we waited. To start I ordered mushroom soup with truffle oil and a delightful buttery croûton. My main was a very large portion of mushroom ravioli with peas, portobello and peppers — I could barely finish half it was so filling. I felt heavier than steel at this point, so for dessert I went for something light: poached pear with chocolate sauce and marzipan. Wonderful! My coworkers ordered lobster and steak, they all said it was decent, but not the best they ever had. I think the consensus of our group was, «The experience was worth the price.» Besides the view, I was so impressed with the waitstaff as they dealt with my drunk, playful and rowdy table for three entire hours! Thank you, Top of Vancouver!

High class fine dining are the key words that came to my head while eating here. Been there twice for dinner this September and October and really happy. The view is amazing up there and as we were lucky enough to have a clear sky we were blown away. The food is pricy here but in my opinion it’s way worth it! We both went for 3 courses and a bottle of BC white wine. With a total of 300 $ including pre and after dinner drinks it was appropriate. I had a delicious line caught BC salmon and this was one of the best fish dish ever and definitely the best in Vancouver I had so far Good job guys keep it on

I disagree with the negative rates, mostly regarding the food. YES, we do pay for the view, and it seems to me quite normal when you get to enjoy such a great panorama on a ROTATING restaurant ! Come on, it’s worth the price, I’ve been there during the day and at night, same blast both times. We were there yesterday with my husband for our anniversary and we loved it. I got the New stork steak and it was good! My husband got the lamb and loved it too. The bread wasn’t really fresh nor tasty but that’s my only complaint. Otherwise, we got a free dessert to share for our anniversary, it was unexpected and awesome! You can be pissed but it IS one of the nice things to do downtown, being able to see such a great view in such great conditions !

Food was great and the view was spectacular. Staff was mostly great. Just accept that that you are going for the view because the food is WAY overpriced(for obvious reasons). Sadly, when I went with my GF the place was mostly empty. They could know the prices down 20−30% and make way more money.

Husband took me here some months ago when we were still dating pretty seriously. He wanted to make our«anniversary» special, so he made reservations there. I was thrilled when I heard about it and I will admit that my expectations were high. There was a menu for two, with appy, entrée, and dessert. I remember getting the soup, salmon on coconut rice, and a cheesecake. Portions were tiny. I mean, I don’t even eat that much but after three courses I was still freaking hungry, as was hubs. Not what I expected out of a meal that cost that amount. We ended up ordering a huge dessert platter and finished that up before we were full. Now, here’s where the complaints start. As soon as we checked in, I could tell that the staff were gossiping about us. They kept on looking at us and doing this weird smile, it made me really uncomfortable. Like, did I have something in my face? Also there was a Japanese guy sitting behind us whose date apparently didn’t show up. He looked really miserable and one of the older waitresses kept on addressing him sarcastically(ie. Having a good time? Enjoying the view?). It got kind of awkward fast. 2⁄5 only because the cheesecake was amazing.

I had supper tonight with my brother, Lance, and his wife, Mei(they live in Vancouver) at the Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant. Andrew was our server and he started us off with some warm rolls. Lance and Mei split an order of escargots. For our mains, Mei had a steak. Lance had Seafood Melody Provencal(sauteed tiger prawns, scallops, halibut, and salmon in a saffron white wine sauce). I felt like spaghetti with a tomato sauce so Andrew had them create this for me with some chicken. Lance had a piece of Tiramisu for dessert(Mei helped him a bit). We had a table right by the window, which was nice. We were able to watch the sun go down and day become night. Andrew was friendly and took good care of us.

The views are fantastic! It’s definitely a place for tourists to visit. My team and I came for dinner and the food was really good. Our waiter was Andrew and he was GREAT! He was very knowledgeable about the menu items. When you visit Vancouver be sure to check this place out.

April 2015 — 10th Anniversary Dinner. Beautiful View, lovely restaurant, good service, but overcooked food. We like to eat at revolving restaurants when we visit a new city. This one has a beautiful view of the city, the bay and the mountains. Both of our dinners were over cooked. It made the Herb Crusted Halibut very chewy. I would try here again and hope for a better outcome.
