The epitome of what I call maintenance sushi. The sushi is average, there are tons of lunch sets and combos, and the beef don is surprisingly flavourful. Nothing is bad, nothing is stellar. You’re safe here. Sushi Dragon serves the office crowd along Broadway, so beware the line. They turn over tables quickly so shouldn’t take long.

Did a big order of sushi for 4 people from them and unfortunately the rice was really hard packed and this time not fully cooked through showing the white core. Apparently food is hit and miss! Disappointing.

I’ve been a regular customer for 3 years now. I come here for lunch or take out. My favourite items on their menu are the cones and bento boxes. They are very generous when it comes to the cone fillings and their boxes are delicious. If you want to replace an item in their bento boxes, they will do so without any hesitation. The prices are affordable, they have amazing service, and delicious food.

Amazing service, fresh food, delicious and well priced! My husband and I keep coming back to Sushi Dragon as our go to neighbourhood sushi spot. Thank you!

This place gets busy on a weekday~ The menu is quite extensive, the options seem limitless and your stomach capacity may have to match it as well! The prices are affordable, for example my 16 pieces of spicy salmon and spicy tuna was like 7.97 before tax and tip. The restaurant is bumping with the office crowd here. I was super full after and literally super food coma-ed. I’d go again for lunch~ Good service.

Great sushi, great prices. My most frequently visited sushi place in Vancouver because of their specials — I like to get combo 2(alaska roll + california roll + miso soup) for 7.95 — it’s really good sushi at literally unbeatable prices.

Very good and affordable sushi! The nigiri is quite fresh and made well. Especially love their toro, unagi, and chopped scallop cone!

Pretty average sushi, and you’ll probably only go here because it’s convenient. I had the Sushi Dragon Roll, and although it was packed with different types of things, I can’t really remember what was inside because it all sort of mashed together. I do remember that roll is deep-friend so it has a tempura-type coating. It wasn’t crispy enough.

I came here to get some basic sushi with avocado and cucumber and it was decent. Service was a bit slow. Prices were decent. The sushi itself was good.

2.5* Look, you could do worse, but you can also do a LOT better. This is a Chinese-owned sushi place, which means cheap low-quality eats. You can get a meal that will stuff you for about 7 $ or even share it between two people for a snack. But to be honest, in a town with such amazing sushi… why not just go to a place where you can actually taste the flavour of the sashimi? The rolls aren’t overloaded with rice and they give you plenty of fish but the fish is really poor quality and sometimes just thawing too…:( This is like. the Wendy’s of sushi restaurants. Not McDonald’s caliber even. But cheap and plentiful and you probably won’t get food poisoning. Points for a cheap place having white ginger though. And it seems like if you’re a regular they will remember you and treat you with better service(not that service was bad to begin with).

Good prices and friendly service but I was not impressed with the sushi. I would not go back here.

As someone who works nearby, I’ve been to every goshdarn sushi joint along this neighbourhood. I’m not sure if it’s actually worth the 4 star rating but Sushi Dragon is basically my go-to here and I’d recommend it to anyone around here. Let’s get this straight — the sushi is still fairly average in the grand scheme of sushi in Vancouver. BUT it is consistently better than everywhere else around here, even if only marginally better. Sushi is always fairly fresh, the rice is a good consistency and not too thick(a common problem with these cheaper sushi joints) and I never open my take-out box and feel like this was sloppily thrown together. I also really really really appreciate that they are cool with substituting my california roll for an avocado roll(so many places won’t allow this, even when their avocado rolls are cheaper than their california rolls a la carte!). I get take out here frequently(usually sushi combos and donburi), and the server/cashier is always friendly and incredibly polite(especially compared to some of the brief and curt cashiers around who basically take my money and toss the food at me without a second glance).

I’m a regular at Sushi Garden and have always been met with outstanding service! The lady owner remembers my name only after a couple of visits and provides me with miso soup and hot tea as soon as I sit down. She is also very lenient in catering to combo substitution requests. My favorite/standard dishes are beef teriyaki rolls, yam tempura rolls(which are amazingly crispy and fresh), veggie sunomono and chicken yakisoba. Take out is also prepared very quickly and efficiently. They always provide delicious guava candies at the cash register. Between my friends and I, we know that if you smell like guava, you probably just had Sushi Dragon for lunch/dinner! :) I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants great food at a decent price, accompanied by a pleasant dining experience.

There are so many sushi spots along broadway that it would take an eternity to try all of them. Sushi Dragon was my latest sampling: I got takeout for lunch, ordering a mini chirashi and a chopped scallop roll. Overall the fish was quite fresh with no mushy texture or funny smells. The takeout presentation of the mini chirashi was a little sadly presented though, with 8 pieces of fish(tuna, salmon, toro, scallop) strewn across a bed of rice. In terms of quantity I was happy but it probably would look better in a smaller container. The food and service were both good, so I would be happy to return for affordable sushi lunches!

Unforgivably bad. I walked in, and the place was completely empty. The server just stood there and stared at me as if to wonder what I was doing there. Ordered 4 items an they were all terrible. The gyoza sauce was sickeningly sweet. The tempura was heavy and crunchy and had a texture like cheetos. They cheaped out on the Alaska roll and used smoked salmon rather than fresh. The pricing was not all that great, although the portions were generous. Wouldn’t go back if they paid me.

Love this place! The owners know us by name as we frequent it about once a week. Great selection of specialty rolls and bento boxes for dinner(the 2 of us usually share one of each) My only suggestion would be have a bento box option that includes gyoza!

The empty restaurant had a takeout Oder and another table other than myself, shortly appear just after 5pm this Wednesday eve. I ordered the bento box A which started with full tasting miso soup. The chicken teriyaki was moist and delish. The tempura was cooked to perfection but the batter seemed flat tasting. Otherwise it seemed pretty much the same as most sushi places.

**3.5 stars** Items: two combos — spicy tuna roll + spicy salmon roll, and dynamite roll + california roll(real crab add $ 1) Pros: clean, simple elegant décor, great service — no complaints there, quick, excellent lunch prices and i like that the rolls don’t have an inch of rice around them Cons: not the best quality fish but also not bad — somewhere in the middle, seaweed around rolls a bit too chewy, salmon was not wild sockeye Bottom line: i’ll be back.
