I’ve been to the Stanley Park Ghost Train several times over the past few years. Each year the theme is different. This year’s theme was«Horror Classics». I was looking forward to a good scare and a creepy ride through the forest, but alas, the ride really fell short on the scare factor this year. In addition, not as many scenes were set up. It seems like there were also significantly less actors than there were in previous years. For a non-scary 15-min ghost train ride that was overly kid-friendly, I probably wouldn’t come back again next year if I’m looking for a good scare!

Umm there was nothing awesome about this train ride. It sucked. There was nothing scary or gory about it at all. Why would a nursery rhyme theme be scary? Ya I get that they had an «evil» twist but it was boring & uneventful. I went on this train a few years ago & that was good but this was really bad. Do not waste your $ unless you are going with children. Not for adults at all– stick to Fright nights @ PnE. When u goto a Halloween event, you expect a little spook & fright. Don’t expect that here.

You can tell a lot of work goes in to putting this show on. It’s different every year, and definitely a favorite tradition of ours. It’s a little cheaper to get tickets the day of the event because you don’t have to pay all those processing fees. They reserve half the tickets for day-of sale, so even if it’s sold out online you can still get tickets, just go early because they sell out. It’s worth it to go in the evening as there are no live performers during the day. It’s always a great time, and a beloved October tradition.

As a visitor to Canada this was a great find and recommendation from a waitress in Victoria B.C. to come check out during Halloween time. The train park is transformed into a ghost train with a «classic horror movie» theme(2013) that is suitable for all ages and perfect for Families with small kids. The train ride is about a 15 min long and reminded me of an amusement park ride w/live actors. After the ride, the whole family can enjoy a small maze, crafts, hot cocoa and hot food.
