I’ve been to Skoah before. But it has been a few years as I’ve moved to Toronto. I went to Skoah today while here in Vancouver on business, and had the facialicious with Kendra. It was incredible. Every aspect. I’ve had facials allover the world, and this was one the best, and most relaxing facials ever. In my 5 years in Toronto I’ve yet to have a facial this awesome. And I’ve been to many of the top spas. Not only does my skin feel super soft and looks glowey and amazing. But I was on cloud nine with all the massages conducted during the facial. I just wish they had a location in Toronto! Will definitely be back when I visit again in the spring.

I went into skoah Granville the other day to return some products I wasn’t happy with. Fortunately I was greeted by an excellent representative, caylee is her name I believe. Anyways I explained what I wasn’t happy with and she recommended some different products to try. I can now confidentiality say I am beyond happy with my skin and I’ll definitely be back to get more! She is a special person. She turned my bad day into a great day!

I am a so so fan of the line, however, m My best friend loves it. I got him some toner for a belated bday gift. Customer service was friendly. A little pushy on the upsell attempt.

I am not a facial person and have only ever done 1 other in my life so this might not be the best review to base your next visit on, but it’s my personal experience so here goes! I had been holding onto this gift from last year’s birthday forever and finally found a free day to get an appointment into Skoah to try out their Facialiscious. What a great way to start a rainy Friday morning! I was welcomed in, offered water before being led into the treatment room. This seems like a very small location and I think there are 2 rooms. Soft chill music was playing and it was comfortable enough for me. I didn’t realize this would also include a body massage so that was a nice surprise! Of course she was better at the face part and it was so nice to have someone massage my face and neck as that usually doesn’t get done with your typical massage! I’m not someone who needs a regular facial and for the price I wouldn’t make this a mandatory thing, but it was a great way to spend 75 minutes of my morning and I felt great after!

i have the skoah«lite» membership and i only have 2 facials remaining out of the 6 that i pre-paid for, so i think i’m in a pretty good position to give a review of this place. for reference, I’ve only ever used the Granville street location. my current facialist, Lucinda, is a lot better than the previous one who’s name i forget but she’s no longer working there any way. while the facial itself is good and she appears to have good product knowledge, my recurring problem is i always feel short-changed with regards to the length of the actual service. i feel compelled to write a review because my last facial, from the moment i walked in the door til the moment my facial was complete, was 38 minutes long. what I’ve paid for is 660 minute facials(50 minute facial plus 10 mins«consulting») and I’ve never actually received that. during my first 3 visits my facial from start to finish was about 45 minutes total. this last visit was the shortest facial I’ve ever had. my facial was also supposed to include an arm and hand massage and that never happened. she just rubbed my shoulders for a couple minutes and it was over. i like the skoah concept of a no frills spa that offers decent facials at a reasonable price, but i don’t think that this place(or probably more specifically this location) doesn’t live up to its promise. in their defence, i didn’t say anything about the super short facial on my last visit so they didn’t really have an opportunity to offer a remedy. but this has been a recurring issue with two different facialists. next time i might frequent another location, the yaletown one seems to have better reviews. i won’t be renewing my membership though.

I booked an appointment with skoah when looking for a good facial in my neighbourhood. I walk past this store quite often and thought it might be time to try. Now, I don’t have a lot of experience when it comes to facials — the last one I got was over 5 years ago I think — but I really, really enjoyed the service I got. I got the special«love thyself» treatment they had a couple of weeks ago, which included a facial and a hand, arm and shoulder massage. The storefront is quite small, but I found the room to be of a good size, and the table oh so comfy! My facial was done by Kristen, who was really friendly and appeared to know what she was talking about. They do try to sell you other products after the facial but it didn’t bother me(especially because I needed other products). They do offer a «re-book» discount if you book your next treatment right away. I’ll definitely go back as I was quite happy with the service I received and found it to be good value for the money.

I was looking fw. to trying this Skoah after my experience on West 4th was just ok. And you know what? This one was just ok, too. They are the Canadian spa company, and like typical Canadian retail, it’s nice, fine and a-ok. Some improvements: although she upsold me throughout the massage, she didn’t try too hard at the end, so I acquiesced and bought the clear skin mask. It was inexpensive and sold in a drugstore container. But we pay only for the product, right? Time will tell. The space was super small, which I expected, but the rooms were so tiny that I barely had any room for my things. Not South Granville tiny, but NYC tiny. You could hear the drawers opening and closing from the bank next door through the entire service. Not a big deal, but a bit odd. Call it big city living, except that I’ve been to many, many spas in big city living without the same thing. Go figure. Both girls were extremely nice so I have absolutely no complaints there. The actual service? I didn’t get any extractions done, like I asked. I was told that it was my skin and I needed to exfoliate, but that had never happened before and that was my entire purpose for booking. Also, my 45 minute service was just over 40 minutes. She started late and ended early. This is a small thing, and it’s fine, but I seem to recall the same thing occurring at the west 4th location. The massage had very little pressure, which is fine, too, but that about sums up the entire service. Just fine. I appreciate that the prices are good, the location is convenient and they try to offer a nice touch by giving away a bath product that I’ll never use. I wonder if anyone bothers to use it? I nicely asked if I could get something that I might use, but of course the answer was a polite, «sorry». Unlike Dermalogica, Mario Badescu and any«big» name places that actually offer you 25 cents worth of products you will use, or even extra touches like make-up application, there is no offer of anything you’d actually want. But, I realize that this is a no-frills spa, and you get what you pay for: A 40+ minute facial for $ 83. with tip. So I walked out with my new product, and I’ll probably return again for the same type of no-frills, facial. I’m sure they’ll respond to this review, just as they did the last one, but what would be far more beneficial is if they actually listened to their customer’s requests.
