Awesome coffee shop in Vancouver near Yaletown. We had pour over coffees and enjoyed them so much that we bought the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Aricha beans to bring home with us to Seattle. I wish they shipped to the US because I would order their beans so that I could drink their coffee all the time. The two employees working were pleasant and we will definitely go back on our next visit to Vancouver.

Great spot, the café is spacious, coffee is great and breakfast muffins are really decent. It’s just a nice place to be in general, lots of light, high ceiling with wooden beams exposed and cool music make this place stand out.

Great coffee, love the mocha and almond croissant which I get every time I come here but unacceptable poor service. The barista or whatever special position they think they are in have a unfriendly and uptight attitude that as a customer I can tell from their facial expression and tone of voice. Hate it.

Brand new location as in 7 months old. Discovered this location on the way to a brewery with Gareth. Came back the following day for a decent latte. Very small location with some treats. I wish they were open later on game days. Good customer service. Nice clean interior.

Why are the female staff here always in a bad mood? It’s across the street from our office which makes the location convenient but we’re sick of their bad attitude. Their coffee is expensive and not that good.

My favourite local coffee shop in Yaletown! It’s across the street from Starbucks but offers a much better atmosphere. The coffee is great(nice selection btw), the food is okay-ish and pricey(but who goes to coffee shop to eat anyway).

I popped into this Yaletown coffee shop downtown because I enjoy trying new places and I am a fan of coffee. Before heading over, I did some research on Unilocal and saw that most people rated this place 4 or 5 stars-therefore it must be good. This is not the only location in the lower mainland(there are locations in Steveston and Kerrisdale), but this may have been the first time I tried Rocanini. I loved it. I ordered a latte(they have soy and almond milke +$ 0.60), and they do latte art even in the to-go cups(i’m a sucker for latte art I know…). The coffee is scrumptious! $ 3.95 for a 12oz which is standard I supposed, but they only had that size to choose from, I should have asked if they did smaller and larger sizes(because people, let’s admit, like options). However, there are options to be had here, from americanos to drip coffee so all coffee lovers can rejoice! I also enjoyed the décor, the music emitting from a good ‘ol record player. They also sell Chemix makers, grinders, whole beans, and goodies any coffee feind would get giddy about. I’d come back for sure :)

I was pretty happy when I saw this spot open up on my walk to work. More coffee = happiness. I had a meeting nearby, and Rocanini was the perfect spot! Around 10 am, it was busy but not loud. The staff were friendly, and I had a giant latte in a big mug in just a few minutes. Average price, just under $ 4. The décor is hipster but welcoming, and they’ve got some cool stuff — I like the fancy coffee decanters and old record player. If you’re looking for a quality coffee in the neighbourhood, check em out!

Good space, good music, good food, and great coffee. There’s a ton of good coffee places around Vancouver, but it’s pretty rare to see a slow pour coffee shop that roasts their own beans. Some of the flavors are easily my favorite coffee out of anywhere, outside of Vancouver or not. I’ve had the food a couple times, a breakfast sandwich and the caesar bacon wrap, both are solid too. The only downside I can see is a bit quiet, it’d be great for this place to catch on and get more activity around it, but so far, it’s my go to spot in the morning.

I’ve always loved the Rocanini coffee shop in Steveston, Richmond, so when I discovered they opened a location in downtown, I wanted to check out the space. They’re located right on Beatty, across from the Starbucks. The space: A large open room, with wood floors, and a communal table by the window. There’s a colourful graffiti wall, and along the wall are simple 2 seater tables with black and orange chairs, adding a pop of colour. The café is a bit less cozy and has more of an industrial atmosphere to it. I ordered my latte and sat at the communal table by the large window. Unless there is an event at BC place, this area of town is not too busy on the weekends. The latte was just as good as the one in Richmond, a good balance of the espresso and the milk, and not too acidic at all. As they had just opened, the owner at the shop was present. He explained to me that they blend their espresso beans, to get consistent flavours every time. I anticipate that I will be visiting this location more frequently, as it’s less busy than other coffee shops in downtown and certainly with better coffee than Starbucks.
