Shockingly rude manager yelling at a quiet family with a toddler made me swear off of this place(and I don’t even know the family). It’s just not ok to yell«f*#$ you!» at customers who ask nicely about the status of their order after waiting 30 minutes. There weren’t even a lot of customers there. I’ve been here before and the food was good enough, but the service was slow and terrible. I never thought it could get worse. I’ve never seen a manager yell aggressively at a customer — and this family had a little girl with them! I just can’t go back there in good conscience. Awful.

I ordered the food from JustEat 2 hours ago and I’m still waiting for it… It should have been arrived by 12:45 and now it’s 13:45. I called the restaurant and the person who answered the phone was kinda rude. I’m really hungry and angry now

After ordering the food. I wait like 30 min to have the first dish. The service is really bad. I have to write down my order myself. Is this restaurant that poor that can’t ever hire a second server? Really disappointed and would never come again.

Don’t eat here unless you are willing to endure cringe-worthy service for mediocre food. I ordered from this place on JustEat. The delivery person called me before arriving, and shamelessly demanded that I bring her a tip. She was extremely rude, insistent and refused to let me off the phone until I agreed to tip her, almost implying that I would not get my already paid for food(which consisted of a fried rice and 3 dishes) unless I gave her more money. Not only did I already pay for the food through JustEat(which covers the delivery fee), the food arrived over 30 minutes late. So get this, somebody who was already late was calling to make sure I had tip money for her, before she even arrived. Originally I was going to tip, but refrained after getting the call because frankly I was mortified. I’ve never experienced customer service in Vancouver so blatantly horrible that it actually falls short of the most basic standard we hold for day-to-day human interactions. I have no legal obligation to tip. If what you are looking for is a mandatory delivery fee, then included in the initial order, don’t deceive your customers and call it ‘gratuity’.

Delivered, and that was the bad part, it took a very long time to arrive. It may have been a one off but be prepared to wait if it wasn’t. Good part, the wait was totally worth it, the food was fantastic. Super similar to what Peaceful has to offer, but so much better. Beef rolls & Spicy Pork dumplings were a standout, but everything was great and lots of it. Highly recommend

Very tasty place for Chinese food. Shanghai-nese spicy and regular beef noodle soups, juicy xiao long bao dumplings, green onion pancakes, hot and sour soup, spicy tofu etc. Hard to find a good classic Chinese restaurant in the neighbourhood. This is it! But NOT a Japanese ramen noodle house, despite the name. Must have been a leftover sign from previous business.

didn’t honour safeway coupon, insisted they didn’t accept them anymore despite it not even being close to expired. Please do not give them your business.

Ramen house, perhaps just a bad translation but clearly no mistake when it comes to great food. Having lived in vancouver for 2 plus years this Chinese restaurant has been a staple stop to eat since discovery. Being open from 11 to 24 it is a great place for lunch, dinner and in between. The menu, has no ramen, as the name might suggest. The dim sum, made in house, is what this place should be named after. Personal favorites are the spicy pork dumplings and pan fryed pork buns are also good. A sit down meal for any time of the day.

My husband and I went to this place over and over again during our stay in Vancouver B. C because the food was so fresh, so tasty and inexpensive. We were there do much that the owners already knew who we were and offered my husband a beer each time. The restaurant is very home style and you can see them preparing the dim sum right in front of you. I will definitely be back here next time I come into town! Lived it so much!

Hubs and I shared the hot and sour soup, with green onion pancakes and spicy pork wontons. Everything was delicious, portions were large. The lady who helped us was so sweet! I will definitely be back to try some more menu items.

Honestly I wasn’t sure about the food when I first walked in as I just really needed a bowl of noodles on Christmas Eve and most other restaurants are closed now. We had a couple of bowl of soup noodles that were pretty tasty and in generous portions. We also ordered the juicy pork steamed buns(xiao long bao) and they were quite good. The service is acceptable but the restaurant has this funny smells when you walk in and hence I didn’t give it 4 stars. There was also a guy sleeping in the back corner of the restaurant when we were there. This review is probably closer to a 3.5.

I put this ahead of Lin’s on West Broadway for the Shao Long Bao. The menu say six but there are actually eight per basket and its less than a dollar each. Very juicy, thin dough and best of all, TASTY. The wine chicken is no. 2 behind Long’s. The dude that works during the day, not too friendly, but the lady, whom is the one that makes the Bao is very friendly! Another plus, it’s WEST of Broadway AND opens LATE!!! Is now my favorite hang out for dinner and late night snack. HALF price beer too!!!

The Xiao Long Bao is not authentic Shanghainese flavor and taste just so-so. But the spicy pork wonton is very delicious, even though its different from what I used to have in Szecehuan. The spicy pork with garlic sauce is tasty. Will come back to try more dishes. The pork blood pudding and pork intestine is good but needs more flavor(maybe add more bean paste or salt…). You will get a free Xiao Long Bao for any dine in over $ 30 before tax. If you bring your own container then 10% off for take out. I think 3.5 star is fair enough. Since it has a wide variety of food, we will definitely come back later to try others.

This is an adorable mom and pop shop. Although no ramen, the food is still fantastic. They make the dough for the noodles on the spot –impressive. The shanghai dumplings are great and juicy. I ordered a fried rice and it seems like the food is a tad salty but good none the less!

Turning point What use to be my favorite go-to place for Shanghainese dumpling(Xiao Long Bao) is no longer so. Over the last few visits, the quality and consistency is not there. Now, the skin is too sticky(probably overcooked or was last night’s batch). Last time, the fillings were sour or vinegar-like(without using the dipping sauce). Still, the cumin lamb on rice is great and would return just to order that. Service is fine for this style of eatery. I will have to adjust the overall rating down to 2.5 stars.

When we go on vacation, we try to find a variety of foods, and sample as many different varieties as we can. That being said, we ate at this restaurant three times in four days! We are big fans of dim sum, and their«Juicy pork dumplings»(xiao long bao) were the best we have had! Also the«Szechuan sesame cakes,» while the title was a little misleading, were delicious; filled with savory meat in a flaky crust. We don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this place deserves more attention!

Today I just had the worst restaurant experience ever in my life! The guy(middle age) served us the wrong noodles. We asked him to change it to the one we ordered. He told us,” No! It takes too long to change.” The attitude he showed was completely disrespectful and ignorant. I was disappointed and didn’t pay enough tips(the tips have to be 20% according to this server). He asked me to pay the tips and I told him that I was unsatisfied with their service, and then he told me,” Maybe you do not need to come to our restaurant anymore.“ I was freaking shocked and told him that I would definitely not come to this place anymore. All my friends were disappointed with their pathetic service, and I recommend YOU not to try it because this restaurant will ruin your mood for the whole day!

This place serves such amazing Chinese food, you will be dreaming about it for days after dining here. I like that the name is Ramen House so it kind of keeps it under the radar unless someone so kindly introduces you to the place or you stumble in here for a surprise round of dumplings. Get dumplings, juicy or not, wontons and noodles and you will see them dutifully handmade by a lady in the back of the restaurant to further add to the experience. Come here with a large group to try as many dishes as possible!

Yea, the name is misleading. They should change it to Noodle House or something so ppl don’t mistaken it as Japanese Ramen. I started goin to this place about a year ago when I moved to Kits. I loved it! There are not so many authentic northern /Si Chuan Chinese restaurant in Kits… I liked almost everything they have. The spicy beef and fish are pretty authentic. It’s probably the best I found other than restaurants in Richmond. The BBQ lamb skewer is REALLY good. It’s almost impossible to find authentic ones in Vancouver. I am so happy it’s just few blocks away from me. I used to have to wait till the night market season to get those and they are usually overpriced and not very good. The noodles dishes are decent but not too memorable. I will still go to ShaoLin or Beefy Beef for noodles. The Wonton soup is really good! It’s the northern China style not the HongKong style shrimp wonton your see at most Chinese restaurants. Again, it’s hard to find this style here. I also like they open late. Give them a try!

The name is very deceiving but as it was recommended by a Chinese friend of mine I had to give it a try! Upon arrival our table was set and the server was quick to come and take our order. The thing that turns me off a bit by Chinese restaurants is the lack of communication abilities of the servers when you ask about an item on the menu. Anyways I let my Chinese friends take the rein and order food. So the list was Vegetable, Pork Dumplings as you’d see in a dim sum place. They were steamed to perfections so I was surprised by the quality given the low price in the area. The ginger beef is another favourite of mine when I go for Dim Sum which was a bit disappointing. It lacked the tanginess and spicy trip flavour that I have gotten used to. The peanut noodles were delicious but a bit on the greasy side. Overall I would recommend this place if you are in Kits and looking to get your Chinese fix.
