Some of the best pizza in Vancouver! This location had the Pesto one and, oh em gee! I wish I would have got two pieces… Actually a whole pizza! Tempted to have some more tonight from the new west location. This place is cheap and super worth it. Got a couple bucks and want some delicious food? This is the place!

UBC would probably be a different place for me without Pizza Garden lol. This is probably the only place that sells quality pizza slices that is within the reach of students on campus. The price($ 2.50 per slice) matches that of pie r squared at the SUB but the taste is much more authentic as others have pointed out. Recommended.

Surprisingly good pizza on UBC campus. Yes, surprisingly. When this place is pretty much next door to the Golden Arches, I wasn’t expecting much. I thought, «Great, another LCD(lowest common denominator), pizza place for students and their unfinicky palate. I was wrong. This place, on the surface, looks like any run of the mill campus pizza joint to serve the 1000’s of students that pass by, just to satisfy hunger. Quality versus quantity, I thought, would have favoured the latter. Or so I thought. The little princess wanted something after her exhausting swim in the UBC pool, so we ended up here. Thin crust pizza that’s prepared in a gas fired brick oven with faux firewood in the back. The crust was crispy and the toppings were good. She ate an entire slice of pepperoni pizza. I tried a slice pepperoni and sausage. It was very well prepared, and the crust is made in house. If I had any comment, it would be not enough sauce. $ 2.50/slice tax in. Small space with seating for about 10 – 12. It looks like a hole in the wall, but the pizza sure isn’t. It’s top notch. Located just outside the academic campus in the University Village.

Tasty pizzas with a large variety of flavours. Thinner crusts are standard. They are really delicious.

For Pizza by the slice… OMG better quality than most by the slice place. $$$, however, worth it. Fresh pizzas coming out of the wood oven is frequent since there is a high turnaround with pies. What student does love pizza? Great customer service.

Truly amazing. Great pizza and super nice people work there! Highly recommend it! They have a ton of selection for different pizzas! Very fast and fun to watch the workers toss the pizza dough around. I also got a free pizza when I went in with my friends and they asked me if I wanted a pizza and I said yes because I forgot my wallet. Super happy with this pizza place!

What I really like is the thin crust and healthy topping choices such as sun dried tomatoes, spinach etc. The x large is huge and they deliver. The pizzaq magic was excellent and I would definitely come back.

I would give it a solid five stars when it first opened, but I wasn’t using Unilocal back then. Fast forward to the present. Although the price of the pie haven’t change a bit, I find the quality of the food is steadily declining. 1, Parmesan cheese: They were using real Parmesan cheese when they first opened shop. However, sometime in 2014, they switched to processed«cheese» powder. 2, Topping: They were using good quality topping before, especially the meat. Nowadays it is pretty much industrial standard toppings with occasional Costco quality Italian toppings. 3, Crust: I am not 100% on this one since I am not very good at making Italian crust myself. However, I think they might have changed their flour since the crust was very chewy and has a distinct taste when they first opened shop. Something has changed and the crust now is not as good as before.

This is one of the new places on the UBC campus. Anyone who has gone to UBC would know that good food places are hard to come by here. This is one exception. The pizza here is a cut above the other options available(The Pie R Squared place in the SUB is expensive and mediocre quality at best. FreshSlice at least offers a better value for money, given their deals and low prices.) As someone mentioned before, the pizzas are prepared in natural gas wood stone ovens, and everything from the how the pizzas are made, to the ingredients used would make a puritan pizza lover happy. Someone below also commented that the door stays open making the place chilly. Actually, I would like to differ politely. I think in the cold December and January days they generally have their doors closed. Summing it up, it’s definitely worth a try, specially if you are in UBC. Trust me, you will hardly find better food place around UBC. I have never heard a complaint about this place. Choice of pizzas: Prices:

What a pleasant surprise! When compared to the major pizza chains, this place is fantastic. delicious gourmet pizza, fast efficient and friendly service. If you go there hoping to re-live the the best Sicilian pizza you had on your trip to Italy, you might be a tad disappointed, but its pretty damn close. Its not really a sit-down place, no ambiance, but get take out or delivery and you can’t go wrong… well apart from getting fat off pizza…(which i will add, their crusts are not oily, and they use proper cheese)…but you’ll still get fat

Great pizza there and very reasonable! It’s better to take away because they leave the door open most times I’ve been there and it gets a little chili to stay. I think they do that because of lingering students who always clog the place up. I can’t dock them a star over it though because their pizza is so good. By the slice or order to go, you can’t go wrong.

We’re pizza snobs. We moved here from NYC and go to Italy a couple times a year. This place is great. They slice their onions the way the Italians do, really thinly, so they caramelize a bit. Yum.

The newest place on UBC campus that provides Neapolitan style pizzas. Although it’s not 100% real Neapolitan pizza since they use natural gas wood stone ovens, I find their pizza to be just plain delicious and I do appreciate that their pizzas aren’t over-charred. Their large sized pizzas are huge — more like XL sized. They use quality ingredients such as grano padano cheese and imported Caputo Italian flour, so you can really taste the difference!
