Food was mediocre. Service not so friendly. Don’t order the deep fried oysters! It sucked, They were probably cooked and froze. Not worth ordering. Prices are a little high for what you get.

Ordered takeout and it was AWFUL. I paid 17 dollars for Alfredo, which is really overpriced for the quality of food. It was so BLAND, I couldn’t even finish it. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for flavour in their food. Not to mention they bad mouthed customers in front of me. Yikes! Go to a better place.

We were close by when we checked on Unilocal if there was a decent restaurant that serves pasta within driving range. The restaurant seemed very busy with regulars. Reminded us of a restaurant in a small town, in the 80s, stuck in time. Once we entered I realized that this was a Greek inspired restaurant. Not what we wanted but we stayed… The good: Friendly and attentive service(seems family run) Portion sizes(mostly, steak seemed smaller than 8oz) Fair prices Easy to find parking The bad: Mediocre food A bit run down

Service was fast and attentive. Portion was big and food was tasty. We ordered Spanakopita, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Calamari and Salmone Afumicato(smoked salmon linguine) and they were all pretty good. Salmon linguine was the highlight of our meal. Smoked salmon were tender and delicious. At the same time I can taste sundried tomato which gave sour flavour in the creamy linguine. That was good. I didn’t like that there’s only one washroom. Would’ve been better if there’s separated washrooms for men and women. I’m very glad that I booked reservations the day before because the restaurant was already busy around 6pm today. It was nice that server gave us a table by the window for my mom’s birthday dinner. They give 20% off to seniors on dinner entrée which means it has to be entrees only? I’m not quite sure. My family really enjoyed it.

This place has been in my neighborhood for years, and I don’t know why we don’t go more often, perhaps we will now. Stopped in for dinner as we were on the run. Met by friendly service. The place was busy. More busy than I remember it being years ago. My wife had the Snapper and Garlic Shrimp w. spaghetti. Snapper was tasty and tender and not fishy(as I don’t generally like snapper as it is somewhat fishy fish), and the prawns were nice and Garlicy. I had the Lamb with Greek Salad. The lamb was very tender and juicy. The Greek Salad was an actual Village Salad with peppers, olives and lots of Feta. A somewhat limited beer on tap Menu, but still reasonably priced. They also have Wing & Beer specials on Wednesdays. The Pizza which I saw on other tables, looked great. Thick full of toppings, and obviously popular with the clientele. I will be looking to try the Zaaa next.

I went here for dinner with my mom a couple week’s ago. The food is AWESOME, a great place to go if you want a massive amount of delicious food. I can’t remember the last time I had real Greek food, if I do have Greek it’s usually from Opa in the mall food court :$. As you can imagine, I was blown away by the quality and flavours in the food at Neighbours. My mom and I ordered a hummus appetizer(I LOVE their hummus), a calamari appetizer, and a lamb souvlaki platter. I asked the waitress if we should order the calamari platter and the lamb platter, and thankfully she told us we should be good with just the appetizer sized calamari. When our food arrived I was extremely grateful I asked the waitress about what to order, because the lamb souvlaki platter was MASSIVE, definitely enough for two people. The lamb was extremely flavourful, juicy, and just fell right off the bone. The rice, lemon potatoes, and greek salad were all really tasty as well. The menu is slightly pricey(hummus appetizer, calamari appetizer, and lamb souvlaki came to around $ 45) but the portions for entrees are more than generous, so just be careful not to over-order and you’ll be fine. P. S. When our server brought out the calamari appetizer, she accidentally tipped the plate slightly and 3 pieces of calamari fell on the floor. Within 5 minutes she came back with another side dish of more fresh calamari and apologized profusely. I thought this was amazing customer service, as we only lost a few pieces of calamari on the floor and she brought back at least another 10 pieces for us.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. The Pizza we ordered was dripping in oil to the extent of making us nauseous and the taste was average. There are many other restaurants nearby that don’t make you choke on oil and grease, taste better and are less expensive.

My first time returning after many years. I’ll be honest, when I first walked into the restaurant I was not impressed by what ever smell it maybe that was throwing me off. But by the end of your meal, you won’t even notice it. I ordered the Spanakopita dinner. The portion was large and very filling, it felt like it was the right amount of rice and salad to go with the Spanakopita. The host /server was very nice and sassy. They have pretty clean single shared washroom. As I was leaving I realized perhaps I should try the pizza next time I’m in.

This is one of my favorite mom and pop shop. Their décor is a little old school but its like a blast from the past. Their food is very reasonably priced and delicious. I had the Mediterranean chicken and my boyfriend hand the roast lamb souvlaki, both flavoured nicely. If you like a mix of Italian and Greek food, this is a great place to try!

From Edmonton, we saw the«You gotta Eat Here» episode a few years back, and wanted to catch the plane right then — Pharo’s Pizza had been closed for so long! Made a note in my Calendar to definitely try when in town, and last night we finally made it! Only problem was the extensive choices! As we walked in, a couple at the window had a pizza that looked so good, we knew for sure what we’d have. But then came the menu with an effervescent woman who helped us choose our drinks of some of the best iced tea we’ve ever had! Homemade with lemons and an orange, and just the right amount of sugar — not overly sweet! Back to the menu: we had to have pizza so had a 10″ Veggie Lovers(hold the pineapple), calamari with excellent tsatsiki, and 2 Greek starter salads that were much larger than we expected, and so fresh with a great dressing! But what about the lamb shanks? Couldn’t do it, or dessert, and brought home half the pizza! What a great experience! And do we dare say possibly better than Pharo’s? One sad note: no delivery to Edmonton!!!

We came here because we saw it on food channel. I wouldn’t have guess it was a Greek place until I walked in and saw the menu. In my mind, I thought I was going into an Italian restaurant. I ordered a spinch chicken and feta cheese pizza. I really like the pizza because the crust tasted like pizza hut crust. Nice and oily. As well we ordered the spanakopita. That was very good and fluffy and crispy. This was recommended on the food network. It was nice and hot so its not like it was heated up and left there till someone orders it. Very fresh. And lastly we ordered the roast lamb. I found the roast lamb a bit dried. Comparing it to Stepho’s, I personally perfer the Stepho’s one. The service was quite good. Very friendly service. Like the restaurant name suggests, most of the dinners live within the neighborhood. I would come back for sure when I am in the area.

When my partner and I moved to South East Vancouver we were on the look out right away for great family oriented dinner spots. Neighbours was one of the first places we tried and we have had very pleasant experiences there since. The food is excellent. It seems authentic and like it’s prepared with fresh ingredients. The waitstaff are extremely friendly and accommodating to the point where it’s one of the main things that keeps us coming back. Unfortunately the high prices have prevented us from becoming true regulars here even though we do love the food. I get the sense that their«You Gotta Eat Here» accolade has inflated their prices. The atmosphere is lovely, homey, warm, and inviting. It’s a great family joint for a delicious night out. I would recommend making a special night of it based on the prices.

One of my favorite places to eat for pizza, pasta & steaks. Staff is always friendly, a family run business. Specials are on the chalk board above the front counter as you walk in. Great place to hang out with friends and relax. Highly recommend coming in and trying something on their tasty menu! Always busy during dinner time, recommend making reservations as it could be a wait! Enjoy!

The food. Lasagna taste like it was microwaved, could use a lot more sauce(can taste the plain noodles). Cheese is good. Garlic toast is similar to its competitors most places don’t add a lot of garlic which I never understand. Pita was nice and buttery also the Tzatziki has enough garlic and great taste!

Food is excellent! Servers are well accomodating! Washroom is clean! The server placed a wrong item on our table, but they said it’s on the house! So thank you for the yummy Tatziki with pita bread!

We are from out of town and searched for a local pizzeria. A different spot popped up. Drove by that place and it looked a tad«shifty.» Normally I don’t judge on that alone(some of the best food is in sketchy spots) but it wasn’t what I was looking for this night. Saw Neighbour’s Restaurant and decided to give it a go. Very glad I did. Pleasant staff, relaxing atmosphere and I was a to go order. My daughter wanted a meat pizza so we ordered the #15 and added more toppings($ 2.50 per topping.) It was the«meat marvel» she and I were looking for. The total came to $ 30-ish which is in the range for a local spot, especially with three added toppings. We only have so many meals to eat in our life so why not have local quality. Crust was«buttery» yummy in a good way(just the right amount), toppings thick and the capicollo was spicy(tastefully fabulous spicy — it was a topping we added prompted by a recommendation by the hostess.) The décor was fine and the layout worked. The staff were appropriately dressed for snappy casual attired diners to a more formal diner. Their demeanor was friendly, personable and attentive. Sure, I was just a to go order but I did get to sit and watch the room work while my pizza cooked. I am curious why this pizzeria did not come up higher on the search but it sure did make finding it a pleasant local«surprise.» Neighbour’s provided what we were looking for. Thank you Vancouver.

Artichokes, feta cheese, tomatoes & fresh garlic is my absolute favorite pizza at Neighbour’s. Ask for the pizza to be made extra crispy. This is one super rich and dense pizza and if you have hearty pizza craving, then this is your place!!! I love there pizza and have tried there other pizzas and they all taste great. The other items on the menu weren’t so great.

I had this on Sunday. I must say when it comes to crusts, they place has the best crust ever for pizza. Service takes a little getting used to, and I find that the seating is a little cramped. With that being said, they are also one of the few places that allowed 14 us to show up one time unannounced and they still managed to make us feel welcome(we also racked up a huge bill on booze) Bottom Line: Their Pizza Good.
