I saw my friends post photos of them holding lemonade on Facebook and thought it would make a really interesting Instagram photo(not like all those photos of people holding Starbucks, ugh how unoriginal) But when I went to order they didn’t even know if it was gluten free or not! I mean I don’t have celiac disease but why take the chance? No thanks!

This is a review for the lemonade stand in Marpole Park: When I arrived shortly after 7:00PM there was no lineup, yet the staff were just milling about. No one came over to say hello or even acknowledge my existence. FINALLY after waiting a minute or so I had to take the initiative and ASK to be served. I ordered the lemonade. NOTE: The menu is VERY limited. Like only one thing on the menu. And I was immediately disappointed to see they had no ice! Gee, I guess tepid lemonade is good enough for this place’s customers. Furthermore, the signage was ridiculous. Typical hand made hipster crap written with a blue Jiffy Marker on cardboard. Did a hobo make this thing? Then I paid with a loonie and surprise surprise they didn’t have change. So I ended up tipping her 100%. Quite the racket she’s got going here eh? To be fair she did offer to get change from her dad who was seated on the park bench nearby but too late sister! Then my drink was served to me in a plastic glass with no straw and no lid! HOW am I supposed to walk with this? I took one sip and omg forget about it. Some fresh lemons would be nice and I’m pretty sure it was made with tap water and crystals. To sum up; the lemonade is weak, insufficiently chilled and, at 50¢ a glass, grossly overpriced. Even though the service WAS top notch and the girls were friendly and sweet the product was anything but. PS: I think I got bitten by a mosquito while waiting for my lemonade. I’m sure the dept of food safety would have something to say about that. UPDATE: Went back today and the business has moved! Shut it’s doors! Been replaced by an iced tea stand manned by a group of boys. Didn’t see any ice but the signage was a little better.
