I’m surprised at the low rating. I really like this location. They have a great trivia host and a diverse menu that caters to anyone in your party. We had a great time and this isn’t the first time that we have stopped in here. They have darts, pool, ample seating, a 4 sided bar in the middle of the venue. What’s the complain about? They also give our hockey pucks with Canucks player’s numbers on them and give away free beer when your player scores or gets into a first. I will go back during Canuck playoff season and get my drink on!

Food is good, drinks are good. Music is often way too loud for a pub. Loud enough that my brain thinks I’m in a club. Service is hot or cold — I’ve found it can be cute and fun or really sulky and rude.

This place used to be much better. I went a few days ago and ordered an irish coffee and the all day breakfast. The irish coffee was served to me black, literally just coffee and whiskey, and didn’t taste like it had any sweetener added. Server took about 15 minutes before coming back to check on us or take a food order. When I pointed out to the server that irish coffee has cream, she brought me 4 creamers. Still didn’t make up for it, and it was bitter as hell. Then came the breakfast. The toast was completely dry, not a drop of butter on it, and no butter on the side. Hashbrowns were acceptable, but heavily spiced, almost overwhelmingly so. They changed their menu a few months ago and unfortunately, there’s only 3 – 4 options for me left, with the sad breakfast being one of them. I live very close and last year would be there at least once a week. Not anymore.

My experience here was horrible we were served by a horrible waitress a blonde who’s attire was inadequate I didn’t know where to look cuz her shorts were so short her crotch was table level and her shirt was so low cut that her chest was pretty much out all she needed was a pole so I was pretty uncomfortable and well pretty off putting that I didn’t even want to eat. She solely catered to the guys and didn’t care about service for the girls and the food was not good at all maybe if they focused as much on the food as they did on selling themselves this place would do better. Never going back again horrible :(.

Not very impressed. First I was served a room temperature glass of draft beer and then the fish & chips look like they were purchased at Safeway. When I pointed out to our server that the beer was warm it appeared not to be a surprise to her. I’m my humble opinion this place is mediocre at best and I will not return.

Wow, not sure if they do this every saturday but not going to risk it lol. Never coming to this place on a saturday again. Basically was attempting to be a club on Granville tonight, DJ blasting music so loud you can’t even hear yourself think and packed full of so many drunk clowns seizuring all over the«dance floor» and calling it dancing that u can barely even move. Sat there for about 15 – 20 mins and didn’t see a waiter or waitress even come near the table so we left. If you want to avoid Granville street club douchebaggery then avoid this place on saturdays cause that’s pretty much how it felt.

Nice looking room. I like the big open layout. Good place for meeting with friends in a casual atmosphere. There are many TVs so it’s a good place for watching games or UFC. The lamb burger was really good. It’s a tasty change from the usual beef burgers you get everywhere else. The Cobb salad, calamari, and chicken tenders were also good. Staff were friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for anything. It’s a good spot to hit on sunny days. Nice patio and big open windows in the front that roll up like garage doors.

Great Place, we go here for PPV for UFC/Boxing. Been here numerous times for get togethers. They unfortunately were not showing the Pacman fight the last weekend however recommended us to their sister bar London Pub and they accommodated us(reservations etc). Love the big screens, tv and service is usually pretty good. Menu may need a update soon tho =)

Recently updated their menu. Tried the fungi flatbread, and had to send it back as it was supposed to have flavors of truffle brie and balsamic vinaigrette, not so much. Very plain. Sent it back and got the fish and chips instead. The batter was quite good on the fish, a much better choice. My husband got the lamb burger and was quite happy. A friend got the poutine and the gravy was extremely runny, could have been much better. Will be back as they are very close to home, but they have some tweaking to do on their new menu.

Service was fine. Doorman friendly. Downsides: Hockey game, then music was WAY too loud– multiple people mentioned it. A few said afterwards that their ears were ringing. A big plate of nachos is $ 20, which is about double what it should have been.

Spacious bar to host a party. The food was bar food like, so typical normal stuff. If you want to have fun, there is a pool table, darts, juke box, etc. If you are planning to take a date here after dinner and chill, there is always an activity to do when you run out of conversation topics.

Don’t go here unless you don’t mind waiting forever for your food and drinks and paying too much for what you recieve. The manager seemed to have no remorse for the fact that i wasn’t completely unsatisfied. Must be too many bad reviews already…

Underrated! Good food, drinks and prices… especially for Kits. Sit at the bar… they’re great and attentive. It’s a solid pub, just don’t be a douche and expect a fine dining experience.

Tonight was the first and will definitely be the last time I will go to the Manchester Public Eatery. 20+ of us went there for a coworker’s going away party, and we had one waitress that attended our group who rarely came to our table, had a really stuck up snooty attitude when she did manage to find the time, and would purposely ignore us when we tried to get her attention while she was in the area actually attending to us. Unfortunately, I was not in the position to be able to easily get up from where I was sitting to go to the bar myself; therefore, I only ended up having two beers and some food in the 5 hours I was there because of her poor service. We needed to leave and waited for her to come by so we could ask for the bill, but after waiting nearly half an hour and having her ignore us once we had to walk around to the bar area to ask for our bill. The bartender went to the back to find her and when she eventually reared her head and got us our bills, I went to pay with debit. I(albeit reluctantly) left a $ 10 bill on the table for her tip — and as I paid with debit she watched me as I used the machine, saw that I pressed $ 0.00 tip and once I finished putting in my pin, she snatched the machine from me, grabbed the card out of the chip reader and literally slammed my debit card on the counter giving me an extremely dirty look. Due to that, I promptly walked back to the table and took the $ 10 I left back. Not only was the waitress extremely rude, the air quality in the bar was horrendous. A coworker and I who I was sitting with are prone to allergies and we were constantly sneezing and showing signs of allergy like symptoms while in the bar(runny nose, itchy eyes, etc.) It turns out the ledge behind our seating area was coated in dust and was attributing to our allergies. On the upside, the food was portioned well and was your standard bar food quality. Not bad, not good, just right for what you’d expect for a bar menu. There are so many other choices of bars in the immediate area — thankfully — because due to this experience I will never come back to this establishment.

I’ve been to the Manchester a handful of times. I’d never been blown away, but the pub food seemed decent enough each time that it never prevented us from going back. I’ve also been a part of an organization that held a private event there, and they did well for us at the time. I highly doubt we’ll be returning anytime soon. The biggest issue with this place is the service. It’s non-existant. And our«server» was absolutely horrendous — she was slow, unknowledgeable and rude. The place was virtually empty and we had to wait up to twenty minutes each time for our drinks to be refilled, and when we finally attempted to start ordering from the bartender, the server returned with attitude: «who was the ones trying to order drinks?» All in all, her service was horrendous. At first, she claimed she was new, so we were okay with the fact that she was unsure on some of our questions. But then she had very little table manners, whatsoever. She questioned and insulted the drink choices of girls at the table. «I just don’t understand why you girls come in and just order a regular vodka cran. Like, it’s so bland and blech. Do you not know of flavored vodka?» We had told her at the beginning that we were going to be joined by more people(we were a table of 10 in total). When the others finally showed up(after a few of us ordered our first drinks), a bit of musical chairs happened. Remember, the bar is dead. The server returns in a huff stating: «Okay, because you guys wanted separate cheques I gave you all a number based on where you were sitting. You all have to return to your original seats in order to keep them separate.» We thought she was joking. She wasn’t. Somebody finally offered that we can easily just help her in the end to separate to which she rudely responded: «okay, we’ll I’ll just put you all on one bill then.» After a while, I think it became clear to her that just because she was incompetent, it didn’t mean that we were going to all shuffle seats again. We weren’t going to move for the rest of the meal. She then told us that when we order we have to «give her our seat number or else she can’t put it on our bill.» We had numbers. I was«number five.» Once our food finally arrives after a snails pace in the kitchen, two girls(the one ordering the vodka crans) never receive their appetizer and we’re about forty minutes in now. The waitress checks with the kitchen and informs us that«they forgot and it would be on the house.» Appropriate. She then stays at the table and continues: «yeah, like he’s just this new cute, little Asian man, and he was like ‘oh no, I forget.’» This left us all at the table wondering how that was applicable or appropriate. To top it all off, we continued to have to wait about twenty minutes each time we wanted a drink. And the food, in general, was awful. Everything was bland, improperly cooked, nachos lacked essential ingredients such as cheese, etc. About half of our table has worked in the restaurant industry, and we all just left appalled at the service. I think the waitress started to understand when barely any of her tips were reaching even 10%(if she was tipped at all).

If you’re looking for a warm British pub, this isn’t it. It’s an Americanized bar that plays up the Brit stereotype and occasionally turns into a club on Friday and Saturday nights where the DJ spins top 40s. We came on said Friday night and was surprised at how full the place was on a game night. The food was average and unjustifiably expensive. I kept wishing to come across a secret menu of curry, but it was not to be found, not even behind the ridiculous paraphernalia on the walls. The fish and chips were on special, and the only redeeming feature of the night as the batter was perfectly crispy. The music was way too loud to really talk and servers were pretty aloof, like adding extra items to our bill and showing up once every hour to check on our drinks. Don’t be fooled by the name, Manchester has no resemblance to its city/team/country.

Went here to watch the Italy vs England soccer game. Place opens early for special sport occasions. Tons of people and a great friendly crowd. Lots of big screen tvs around the room to watch the game. They have seating, but if it’s crowded, it’s only standing room. Food was okay, typical pub food and beer. I probably wouldn’t come here just for the food or a get together, but I’ll come to watch the game.
