Laurel Prescriptions

Been using this pharmacy for well over a decade because my doctor’s office is in the building, but that’s not actually any of the reasons I use it.
1. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They’re there to hear you out and help you.
2. They offer $ 2 return for your parking ($ 3/​hr).
3. Their prices are in line with other places so you’re not overpaying. When I price shopped around, they were cheaper than Shoppers, Pharmasave (what store isn’t?), and Safeway.
4. My FAVORITE reason for shopping here: FREE DELIVERY! Too often when I’m lazy to haul my butt over there, I just get them to deliver! From what I know, there’s no minimum charge. It’s really handy when I’m busy, it’s raining/​snowing, etc. Please note they do their deliveries AFTER 5pm. The latest I had a delivery was 8pm. Love this service.

You can find random things here that you can not find in other pharmacies, and if they don’t have it they will order it.
8% glycolic acid lotion-​toner type thing, that is oil and fragrance free? Yes!
The pharmacist didn’t have what I was looking for (it wasn’t a prescription) so she checked in this massive binder and looked in their online database, and on various websites. That’s customer service! The non-​prescription products like lotions/​face washes are slightly more expensive then other pharmacies, so I would check elsewhere for those but if you need a trusted opinion I would come here. Also there is a LifeLabs right beside it, in case you need that option.
*If you’re walking, you can go straight on Cambie and take a left on 8^th, where you will see the Whole Foods main entrance and continue walking straight. much less congested then walking on Broadway!

I never thought I’d be standing at a pharmacy in awe with how much time and care a pharmacist was taking with me. I was blown away. I mean, this is just a little operation in the lobby floor of a medical centre, and yet there they are, rocking away!
Having never been there, I asked how long a prescription would take to fill. The lovely lady told me that for one of my products, it could be immediate, the other would take about 20 minutes. So I waited and had the chance to witness many friendly and informative exchanges.
When my turn came, the most detailed description of how to use my meds was dispensed. I think part of what makes this a truly great pharmacy is that they really seem to know the doctors that work in the building and how they’d recommend taking particular medications.
This pharmacy is teeny-​tiny but I’d bring them my business again and again. Five stars for knowledge!
