I’ve been using their drop-off service for a while. It’s close to me and I haven’t tried anywhere else to compare but I’ve been happy with them. It’s great to have everything folded for you when you pick it up. If you have allergies you can bring your own detergent. They take cash only so keep that in mind.

Joy Landromat is really a Joy to me! I drop off my white bedding including coverlets and blankets, and they do a good and expedite job. My white sheets stay very white and with a clean smell. They are friendly, and always greet you with a smile. I recommend it to anyone in need of a good service. Prices are reasonable as well. I love Joy!

Completely destroyed my expensive and hard to replace gear. I asked for cold wash tumble dry no detergent for my outer weather gear. The response to my request was«cold wash tumble dry no detergent». I received back my gear and it smelled of detergent and in the first use after it has all become non water proof or even water resistant. I don’t know that I have any recourse.

Sure, I’m a fan of Joy Wash, but I am certainly not a fan of doing my own laundry, especially since we don’t have in-house laundry. There is no JOY in my wash! I hadn’t been in here for a few years, but needed some clothes cleaned quickly for the long weekend, so I put together a garbage bag of my shit and was on my way. You might remember me as the girl who had her laundry basket in the little red wagon that she dragged down Cambie to the laundromat because she had no car. Yes, that was me. Its about $ 2.50 a load for the use of the machines if you do it yourself, which I do, and I bring my own soap, so it doesn’t cost a lot, unless you start thinking of the time you have to waste on a sunny Saturday washing your dirty undies.(You will never see Rheanna. F who is my roomie making a post about doing laundry because she never does it. Fear the stench! I know I do. When I cleaned her shoe cupboard at the front door I actually found 34 socks! That’s 17 pairs!!! My revenge was to string them up and hang them from the ceiling in her room, but she found it so funny that she left them up for a YEAR! NASTY!) It is $ 0.25 per five minutes in the dryer, so depending on how much shizzle you got to dry will depend on how many dollarz you’ll have to spend. I think its $ 7/load for them to do it for you, but I am not 100% sure, so don’t quote me on that.
