Love this place — have been ordering here for over a year now. Not sure why they say their delivery is «45−50 minutes» because it’s never taken more than 20 and I live on the other side of downtown. $ 25 minimum and no surcharge for delivery. And to top it off the sushi probably the best in the Yaletown area.

Not a bad place to order dinner It’s close to work, otherwise might be out of the way I usually order the udon, or salmon teriyaki Recommend the salmon teriyaki, very tasty with a fair amount of salmon Good hole in the wall business

With all the good reviews I was expecting better — this is a typical Chinese run sushi place, with mediocre sushi. The rice is pasty and too hard packed/smushed into a thick mass and I couldn’t taste any sushi vinegar, but the fish was fresh although my salmon was sinewy… Miso soup a little watery. I’m really surprised people raved about this place, as there are several better Japanese run sushi places at the same price point downtown(Sushi Bay Café, Maumi, Sakura, Samurai, Kyzock, etc.)

Best place for sushi. When we want a good sushi we don’t mind going from Coquitlam to downtown Vancouver, the ~45min drive is well worth it. All dishes that we had tried and top of the class.

I don’t like sushi. I like this place. Everything is so fresh and beautiful. Even if you hate sushi, I would still give this place a try. They won me over :)

Stopped here on a friend’s recommendation and it was good. The edamame had pepper on it which was a first for me. The sticky rice was moist and the fish was fresh. Overall good customer service with prompt attentiveness. I’m a big fan of sushi and I’d come here again! Yummy.

The best sushi I’ve had in Vancouver. Truly excellent quality. The chefs are fast and talented. The restaurant is small and holds under 30 people so it’s very intimate. They do a strong to go business so call ahead if you work in the area and get a great to go lunch. An excellent gem in Vancouver.

The worst Japanese food experience ever! The restaurant was not running by Japanese chef which we are OK with because there are many good Japanese restaurant and Sushi bars run by Chinese cooks. But the attitude to their own product is a severe problem. We ordered Sushi, was told that no more rice left so there would be no more sushi or rolls. We conceded with Ramen, boy! What a mistake. The soup was boiling but the noodle and the rest of stuffs were ice cold! The bean sprout were raw(like Phở !) I didn’t know how they made it.(But of cause they made it heartlessly just pouring boiling soup on the ingredients taken out from the fridge, they even didn’t bother warming them up together on the oven! The rest of our orders came, Gyoza was mediocre, Ebi tempura was thick in coating and oily. The service was tired and cold. TERRIBLEEXPERIENCE.

Cute little Japanese restaurant. Service was ok. The sockeye salmon sashimi was really fresh and good. The tuna tataki was way too large(in both size and serving). I would like it if it was sliced half the thickness it was and for it to be less meat overall. It was about 7oz! No lie! About half that serving would have been better it was just way too much meat for two people. The gomae was really good. Not too much dressing and a good serving size of spinach. The rolls were pretty good. They ran out of brown rice today which was disappointing but oh well. Didn’t really like the sauce on the rolls but that’s a common trend for me. I’m going to start asking for just the sauce on the side. I appreciate the description and pictures of items on the menu. I will come back here again…

Amazing service, great food, and amazing prices!!! You get way more than you pay for here. Each roll is about 8 pieces and costs less than 10 dollars. My friend and I got four rolls and it was about two rolls too much, but so delicious!!! The server was incredibly kind and helpful. You get free green tea upon arrival and it was delicious. I would recommend the house roll for 6.96 and the law Vegas roll for about 9 dollars. It really doesn’t seem like you can go wrong here. Definitely start out with just a couple rolls and add to it as you finish. It’s super filling!

If you read this review and then decide to go to a different sushi restaurant, you’re nuts. The sushi is so fresh here and delicious. The portions are HUGE and very inexpensive for the amount of food you get. My friend and I went for dinner and ordered four rolls to share: house roll, Las Vegas roll, magic roll and volcano roll. We had about 9 pieces that we couldn’t finish and had to take home! The house roll is really good, one of my favorites. I also really like their Las Vegas roll. The volcano roll is on the spicy side and just ok. The service is excellent! The woman working in the small restaurant was so friendly and attentive! Our green tea cups were always filled to the brim and she seemed to sense when we needed something or wished to be left alone. All in all this is the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to and I wish I lived in Vancouver so I could come here every time I have a craving for good sushi!

I’ve lived blocks from this place for year, and(sigh) only was introduced to it last month. What a total waste of previous sushi eating opportunities. If you are looking for a place with phenomenally creative special rolls and a calming place to eat them in — this is it. I can’t imagine giving this place anything but a 5! The Fuji Mountain Roll is by far one of the best rolls I’ve had — or the Hot Love Roll… seeing as they are the same thing(on that note, if anyone can tell me the difference, I’d appreciate it ;)

I love this restaurant. If I ever feel like eating japanese food I consider this as my first option. The place is cozy and you feel comfortable and warm the minute you walk in. The service is very kind and always willing to explain the dishes you do not understand. *Try the special rolls, they are really good! My favorite is the«sweet roll» which has philadelphia cream cheese and salmon.

small, intimate interior owned and staffed by Chinese. Waitress was very pleasant. When first walked in, there was a slight smokiness to the place, which quickly dissipated. Prices are roughly similar to most low cost Japanese cuisine choices in the area. I had the ‘spicy’ chicken teryiaki, but it tasted more like sweet and sour chicken– the sauce made the(cold) veggies soggy, as well as drenching the chicken. I was disappointed they don’t have a liquor licence. My wife was more than happy with her sushi, however. Side note: Here, as with anywhere, when ordering fish it is always best to remember that their orders usually come in on Monday.

This is, without a doubt the best sushi place in Vancouver! Super fresh, tastes amazing, everything is just so good. I eat here with my wife regularly! Don’t understand how this place can get less than 5 stars…

I have found pretty sure is one of Vancouver’s most hidden. Yet fresh, under good sushi places. An unassuming small place with little few tables. Perhaps just 1 or two chef with 1 server. Everything was superb. I ordered chef specialist along with gyoza and chicken teriyaki. It’s crispy and not soak in teriyaki sauce like in every other place I have been to. I’m not good as describing the chef specialist but this one is amazing and make my mouth water. I highly recommend this one:)

Solid repeatable place b/c though it’s somewhat tiny with about 5 or 6 tables, it’s cozy, quiet, and a place to chill and not be bothered into bumping into people. nice service helps, regular pouring of tea. usually i order the dragon roll, fresh avocado. also offer 10% for pickup orders. located on the 1-way street, parking can be tough w/the limited parking meters. closed Sundays.
