Best pizza in Vancouver. excellent thin crust! We lived in new jersey for a while, and this would cut it there!

Goldies is a decent, unpretentious place to grab a quick bite and a drink downtown. I have come here several times a year for what seems like forever. The service is always friendly, and the pizza is better than most by-the-slice places(save for Nats, pizza garden and fire pizza, which seem better than Goldies in terms of size/quality/price, but those are not in the same area). I was a little bit disappointed last week when I went in with the hubby for a snack: it seems the slices have shrunk making the 3 dollar price, for a plain cheese, seem quite steep; and while the thin crust was nice, the toppings were’t all that flavourful. Perhaps a happy hour special on drinks would make the prices for such small slices more palatable, because the atmosphere really is quite chill and nice.

Never ordering from Goldies again. It boggles the mind that with hundreds of sushi and ramen places around, delivery pizza is surpringly slim pickings in Downtown Vancouver. I’ve ordered from Goldies probably 10 – 15 times in the last 6 months and finally decided enough is enough. The pizza is decent but the service sucks. Whoever answers the phone is a terrible customer service representative, and the pizza always arrives cold. Not only can they not seem to hear your order, and thus are constantly asking you to repeat yourself, but they’re rude, and always seem too busy. This evening, I called for delivery, and someone answered and started to take my information, then slammed the phone down. A few seconds later someone else picked up and asked me what i wanted… I replied ‘nothing!’ and hung up. I’ve had a similar experience several times before and decided to let it go because I was hungry. This is what the delivery pizza experience has been reduced to? Not to make excuses for them, but it’s possible they’ve outgrown their location. Trying to do delivery, take out window, and dine in simultaneously out of a small place in the downtown core… Maybe a victim of it’s own success.

Really awesome pizza. But the worst service I’ve received in my life. Staff is very unfriendly very rude and even shout to the customers saying just wait!

It’s not bad pizza, but as someone else mentioned, it won’t fill you up like a thick crust pizza would for the same price. I would recommend the meatball pizza over any meat pizza. I’ve tried their version of the meat lovers, one of their chicken pizzas and the meatball pizza. Out of the three, I found the meatball pizza the best. I didn’t mind the beer selection although I kinda wished they had budweiser. 1516 is a little too bitter for me, but it’s my go to when nothing else I like is on the menu. Goldies is great for late night. They are open late for those times when you’re coming out of the clubs and pubs around here. I love how the dough is hand tossed and sometimes I even see the chef do the whole spinning thing with the dough which is kinda cool. If you’re in a hurry though, grab a slice from the window as that will be faster than waiting for them to make a pizza from scratch.

Literally THEBESTPIZZA I have EVER had. EVER The pizza looks like it was made for a photo shoot lol. And every ingredient tastes like its high quality. The perfect amount of everything is on the pizza and the thin crust takes me back to my vacation in Florence. Ordered delivery and the guy was super nice also. Thanks Goldie’s!!!

We ordered a large Caprese pizza and ate the whole thing in one sitting(two very hungry adults and one toddler). It was AMAZING! Delivery to our hotel took longer than they originally thought, but they gave us a big discount without us even asking as compensation. Customer service and delicious food done very well!

Arguably the best late night pizza in Vancouver. Not the cheapest slice, but their signature slightly burnt extra-thin crust is always a delicious alternative to the soft and soggy options that most other pizza joints have to offer in the wee hours. Highly recommend!

I’m from Southern California & all I can say is this pizza is by far one of the best I’ve had in a while! I highly recommend this place for pizza & beer. The bartender was fast, attentive, & very friendly!

Went there today for a quick lunch, I sat down inside their restaurant. My friend was on his lunch break so we were in a bit of a time crunch. In hindsight, we could of just ordered a single slice in their window and be on our way. Any ways, we ordered the Carinvore pizza. Toppings on the entire thing, barely a visible crust. Thin and crispy all the way through. Between the both of us the meal size was more than enough to share. Getting our pizza was a little on the slow side, I guess their pizzas are made to order, unlike some places where they have the crust ready to go. Service was decent. We were checked on enough through out our meal.

We came here for sit-down and got the Carnivore between two of us. Pros: — Nice, thin crust. It was cooked evenly and tasted decent. — Service was attentive and friendly! Cons: — The sauce was pretty bland and there wasn’t much of it. Its taste was similar to the the kind I’ve had on frozen pizzas — The cheese wasn’t very tasty Overall, this place seems like a good spot for a slice of pizza after a few drinks, but unfortunately the quality of the pizza was let down by its sauce and cheese. Great service though!

Pizza is great. Thin crust all the way through and great toppings. I had only ever ordered a slice via the walk up and didn’t really notice the price until I ordered delivery. I appreciate that their pricing is simple($ 28 for a large of any type including delivery and tax) but when ordering enough for a larger group, it adds up quick. 2 larges will be over $ 60 once you factor in a tip. 3 larges and you’re close to a hundred. Pizza deserves 5 stars, but definitely pricey. I’ll stick to slices.

Yummy pizza! My favourite is Pesto Pinenut Pizza. It makes for a nice change compared to just an ordinary tomato, cheese, something pizza. The slices are thin and the crust is crunchy. There’s enough space to hold a slice and the toppings are generous. You have a chance of either eating a Slice($ 3), a Meal(6 slices — $ 18) or a Party(8 slices — $ 28). We ordered the Meal option(half Tuscan and half Pesto Pinenut) and hardly finished it. Maybe it’s cause we don’t eat pizza so often or it’s just that the portion was indeed too big for us, despite the slices being thin. We opted for a sit-in instead of a take-out. There’s quite some space to eat inside(they also have a sitting area in front of the shop), but it’s hot. They cannot have AC because of the ovens, so on a hot day(like it was in our case), you’ll be sauteed in your own sweat. I’d suggest you come in the evening, or on not such a hot day(or order in). The staff is friendly and helpful(we were stopped before we could order two pizzas, cause we actually thought they were smaller). You can also observe the guy behind the glass making pizzas. Good pizza, can recommend you to try it(either order a take-out or come in and have a seat).

Team Tastic came here for an early lunch and we got the following slices each divided in two. Each slice is $ 4 and 6 identical slices make a meal pizza($ 18) Spinach & Feta Chicken Roast Spicy Mexicana Hawaiian Meatball Pepperoni These can be seen as some of the more expensive slices in the city, but there’s a difference. Apart from corn and pineapple, everything is prepared in-house, including the dough. The slice is extremely thin but the toppings and cheese stay firmly attached to the crust. The dough is also really good like the ones from Straight Outta Brooklyn with a chewy texture. Thin crust fans should enjoy these. The meats were all well-marinaded and not as oily as Fresh Slice. One of my favourite flavours were the Spicy Mexicana. The Spicy Mexicana was actually spicy! This mixed with the corn made for an excellent flavour. I also enjoyed the meatball. This was a more unique flavour that you don’t see at a lot of takeout slice shops but it’s available at their takeout window here. The meatballs were juicy and soft. These aren’t giant meatballs like the ones with spaghetti but they are micro chunks of beef rolled into balls and I wish there were a few more meatballs dotting the top.

NPS = 3 Extremely overpriced for a mediocre pizza. I came here late at night for some pizza. They told me I could only order by the slice and I said okay. And they said they only had a few pizza’s left and I again said okay. The first mistake this restaurant made was selling pizza that wasn’t a 100% representation of their product. The slices I got were the last picks of the bunch. Not the greatest I’ve had. When I got the bill(because I had not looked at the prices) I almost yelled out in laughter, «are you kidding me?» I have never paid so much for leftover pizza. These guys need to lower their prices or serve a better product. Do not tell customers you are open and that you have pizza if all you have left are the scraps nobody ordered throughout the day.

Meh, after being in NYC two weeks before this, Goldie’s never stood a chance. The slices are $ 3 per, and were decent, but I don’t expect to get street pizza at 2AM and have it be thin crust. Not cool. I’ll give it 3 instead of 2 because maybe my expectations are just too high… or this pizza isn’t really that great. Whatev.

Pizza joint that is open late. They have two sizes that cost either $ 18 or $ 28. The larger $ 28 pizza is roughly an XL pizza, so about 18 – 20 inches for us Americans. The pizzas are New York style thin, but the crust is very different. We tried the Carnivore pizza. It was good! There was a good amount of toppings, but maybe not enough cheese. Also wish there had been a little more sauce. Like other reviewers said, the service is lacking. Cool interior. Lots of exposed brick and you can watch the chefs make the pizzas right behind the glass.
