I love this sushi restaurant in large part because they are located in my building and therefore very convenient. I also like that they have brown rice sushi, which you still can’t find anywhere. I do a lot of take-out orders, and they have always gotten my order right. Sometimes they add a bit too much rice to the rolls, and I have found that some of their portion sizes have gotten smaller over the past year although the prices have remained the same. However, the service is always good, people are friendly and efficient, and the food is consistently good.

I cannot believe that I’ve lived downtown for 9 years and have only now decided to try this place. I haven’t had everything on their menu but from what I have tried, I like what I’m tasting and I’d gladly come here again. Spicy Salmon and/or Tuna Don has been my favourite to grab for lunch or dinner. It’s more than enough for me to have the entire day. It’s too much for me to have in a single meal but it wouldn’t be enough if I was to split it with my fiancé. It’s decently priced though so it won’t break the bank to pick up something else if you do decide to get something for a bunch of people. I did try their sashimi salad once, however, and my only complaint would be that, for $ 12 – 13, I would at least like to have enough salad to share. Maybe it’s because I got this particular order to go, but before my fiancé came home for dinner, I decided to take two conservative chopstick bites worth of salad mix and already it looked as though I had eaten most of it. I wasn’t expecting a whole ton of sashimi but I was definitely alarmed at how little veg we got in the container. Usually when I order salad in a sushi restaurant, I get more salad than expected so I wasn’t prepared for this, and had to run out and grab more food before DC came home. I’d still go back for their sushi though.

I’ve eaten here and got take-away several times. Had to write a review because some of the staff’s attitude is just not good and have no patience for the customer! Sure the spicy tuna is adequate but by the way, the soup is too salty! I think their salt must be free!

Came here for a meal before a concert at rogers arena(before their menu update) and ordered a salmon and tuna combo, a dynamite roll and chicken teriyaki roll. For two people, this was hardly enough and compared to other places, quite expensive. There was nothing spectacular about the taste but nothing tasted off so I guess that was good? Overall, not bad for sushi but there is definitely better, cheaper and more interesting sushi around.

Great place to have delicious, affordable Japanese food right by Cambie st bridge. It’s a small restaurant that’s barely noticeable but they make some awesome nigiri. The beef teriyaki was pretty awesome too. It was very flavourful and hit the right spot. I love the roasted rice green tea they serve on the side too. Would definitely come back again for a quick dinner or lunch!

My miso soup and teriyaki was extremely salty, regular food not impressive. They gave my takeout to other customer(who saw me eating from outside and coincidently ordered the same food as my takeout as they came in) WITHOUT even asking me. Feeling humiliated

Nice place to grab your standard everyday sushi! Reasonably priced and nice open place to sit and chit chat. If you’re looking for your regular sushi for a Sunday night dinner in yaletown, this is it!

This is a good place for us to go for lunch. Sushi is decent but also quick! They just redid their menu which took away some bento items but added an all day bento box that is totally worth it. They’re friendly and respect my allergies and I come once a week.

I love this place. Sushi has always been fresh for me here especially the sashimi which matters the most. Had one time the sashimi was not that great but it was a rare incident. The biggest issue they have here is how they have the cashier lady also answering calls and serving food and the language barrier doesn’t make dealing with her as smooth as it can be. Oh well at least the foods good.

Ordered take-away, got it after 1.5 hours. The food was below average, not worth the time. The staff was rude when I complained.

I love the sushi here but their confusing hours makes me not want to come back. States that they are open until 10pm and their last call is at 9:30pm. I called to place a pick up and the girl working there was giggling on the phone telling me they now close at 9 and that the last call is at 8:45pm. I don’t see what was so funny, it’s upsetting when you plan out dinner and this place just makes up the hours as they go. Horrible business moto.

I came here during my lunch hour and got their spicy tuna/salmon don. It was very good as I love the spicy gochujang sauce that they use(the spicy sauce that only korean japanese restaurants use). My only tip is that if you’re a sit in customer you may be fighting with the take out line for the waitress’ attention. So expect a slightly longer wait if you’re sitting in. Update: if you’re thinking the waitresses will even look your direction when you’re a sit down customer and there is a line up for take out at the cashier, you’re very mistaken.

Yummy ! Dinner! Try the SPICY crunchy tuna roll! Alaska roll! Salmon avocado roll! Spicy salmon sashimi! Gomae! Too good. Delishishly fresh sushi made ready to order. Great for both dine in and take out!

It used to be good, but in the last year it has been getting worst by day. Last time I was there the dynamite roll was so old I had to take it out of my mouth. I eat sushi at least twice a week and i am not that picky. I used to go there a lot because it was within walking distance . I will never step in there again.

So I’ve been here a handful of times since they refused to serve me during business hours. The food is decent and the service is good. Nothing spectacular, but still a decent value. A-OK.

YUMYUMYUMOMGYUM!!! The salmon sashimi is the absolute best I have ever had! The Alaska roll is sooo good. I eat her about 1 – 2 times a week. The people are extremely friendly. I’ve eaten there and ordered take out. Never had a problem.

Honestly, this place has wonderful selection of sashimi & sushi rolls. I love their rainbow roll, awesome cheese roll and the red roll plus their tuna sashimi. The place is very clean & very nice welcoming staff. The prices are very reasonable. I strongly recommend it

Just moved into the building and the move was rough. We’ve eaten here three times in three days. Still hasn’t gotten old. The spicy tuna tempura roll is amazing, and the red eye dynamite is delicious. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order, I’ve seen quite a few people order the sashimi and it looks incredible; huge, fresh chunks of yummy fish meat. I’m pretty sure you could make a meal out of one order, but I still have to try it for myself. Tonight we had the dinner roll bento for $ 12. Plenty of food and it was all very tasty and… fresh! Only complaint is that the tea cups are too small and they aren’t always topped up. But tonight our server knew what we wanted to order before we even said anything to her(it wasn’t even the same order as the last two days) and she had a to go box as soon as I told my boyfriend I’d need one. I think she has sonic hearing or probably is just really awesome. It’s really dangerous to live so close, but really convenient too. Glad this place lives up to its name! Clean, fresh, delicious, decent prices. Heavenly.

Don’t let the name fool you. This is not just a take-out spot, but a real restaurant with adequate seating. In fact, it’s bigger and more comfortable that most downtown«fast» sushi restaurants. I’m amazed at the value, and at the quality at these prices. The maki roll platter, for $ 20, has 42 pieces — no filler — and is enough for 3 people or 2 hungry ones. Cali, dynamite, bc, alaska, and spicy tuna rolls, and tuna and salmon maki. All the rolls are super fresh. All the platters are great for parties or group feeding. The menu is diverse, and offers traditional sushi rolls and cones, specialty rolls, udon soup, donburi, teriyaki, tempura, and assorted appetizers. They offer brown rice, but it comes at an additional cost. Friendly. Cheap. Good. 3 for 3. 2⁄30: #30DaysOfYelp

This is a local neighbourhood favorite. Decent quality and average prices. Korean staffed. I don’t think you can go wrong coming here to get your sushi fix. It’s not transcendent but not that bad either. It’s places like this that make me wonder what would happen if the sushi chef actually gave a f*ck, and prepared sushi like what is seen in Jiro Dreams of Sushi? What would happen next? Would they go out of business, or would they be hit with an avalanche of customers?

Fixes a craving for sushi. Fast and affordable. I dislike the shrimp in the tempura, thin and lacking in flavours. I got their spicy tuna for the roll. Great for pickups too, just call and drop by 15 minutes later. Don’t be fooled by reviews regarding«previously frozen» fish, BC Law requires that all raw fish be frozen for at least 48hrs before consumption to kill parasites and things you might not want inside you. To get super raw fish, go to Japan. Overall a decent experience, nothing to write home about but if you live nearby, definitely worth a try.

Very fresh, well sized sashimi and well made rolls. Some of the rolls had a little too much japanese mayo for our liking, but they were still good. Tiny place, maybe 8 – 10 tables(they use outdoor patio furniture for tables). The service was friendly and efficient, they were great with the tea refills. Great prices and feel for the neighborhood, we will be back.

We stopped in here before the hockey game. The place wasn’t too busy but we did notice only one server on the floor which isn’t unusual since the place is fairly small and it was a weeknight. We ordered assorted sashimi, seafood udon, spicy salmon roll, gomae, ebi sunomono and a miso soup. The food got to the table fairly quickly and the sushi chunks were of good size. And they tasted really fresh. My sister liked her udon as well. The soup broth had a good taste to it. Only complaint I have is the service. I think the server must have been fairly new because we didn’t get our tea until we got our food and I asked her about my miso which didn’t arrive with my food, and I never got it. We had to remind her to take it off the bill at the end. She seemed struggle little bit with the other customers as well. Other than that, the service was good. They greeted us when we arrived and when we left and the food was good as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area.
